Independence Pediatrics: Steffen James MD

They used to be a very good group. NOT ANYMORE. Took grandson for vax, he was horribly behind. They gave vax and we were told to come back in April for the next set to get him caught up. Was also given another appt to come in to have his foot evaluated in May. When we took him in for the vax to get caught up we were told it was too soon and to just keep the May appt to address the foot and vax then. The nurse was not very pleasant when we told her this is when we were told to come back. She said she was his nurse the first time and no one told us that. We were told to keep the appt for the foot and they would catch up the vax then. We took him back in for vax and foot. We were told to get him caught up he would need 5 vax. Another story again today.they said he only needs 2 vax but they only have 1 of them. When told he still isn't walking and his foot turning inward so badly seems to be the issue, we are told it is nothing to worry about. REALLY! This was the initial visit was for. They were concerned about it in February but not now and he is 16 months. We will not take him back there. I am going to try so hard to get my other granddaughter to not take her daughter there any longer. She expressed the last time they went the nurse was very "rough" with her daughter. I know this is only two children and it won't be a loss to you but clients will tell about a bad experience 10 more than a good one. I am very unhappy. What happened to you guys?

THEY DO NOT RETURN URGENT PHONE CALLS! My son has strep A. Was given a prescription the doctor knew was out of stock everywhere and told me to call the next day if pharmacy was out of it for a new prescription. I CALLED A TOTAL OF 4 TIMES AND HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK. THIS IS WEEK 3 OF NO ANTIBIOTICS FOR MY 4 YEAR OLD. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT KIDS
