Jackie’s Snackette reviews
16Great little place hometown to snack at! Burger and pork loin was delicious. Ranch dressing was one of the best I've had
If you like an old school ice cream shop and meeting place, I couldn't think of a better place. The owner is an absolute dear and the only thing that prevents this snack shack from being a true 50s/60s classic worthy of a movie scene is the lack of glass for the shakes and sodas. But, considering it's 2023. Who cares. Please visit, this is a hidden gem.
Hands down the single greatest bacon double cheeseburger on the face of the planet. If you don't agree, you're not living your life right.
Very kind service. Friendly and welcoming. Food was ok. Typical small town burger joint fair which is perfect if that's what you're looking for. Banana split was enormous.
Food was good service was terrible. They didn't add 2nd cheeseburger but they added 2nd order of tater tots. We paid twice on card. Then my son ordered a ice cream. When we paid with card they told us then there was a 1.oo charge. I asked why they charged us a 1.oo when he messed up our order. She said he didn't do it on purpose. I told her he did it to a lady sitting by us as well. I'm sure he didn't do that on purpose also. But seriously guys it's not the customers fault. They should stand by there mistakes and make it right to the customer. We went 1 to 2 a week but no more ever.
We're from St. Louis and Illinois and stop by here every year after our annual Friends Float. The food is simply delicious and their shakes/ice cream are beyond amazing! Don't let the small building fool you, they're cookin up some tasty stuff in there. If I lived near by I would be a regular patron. Thank you for feeding us after our long, fun, and exhausting day on the river.much appreciated! It has made our trip so much more relaxing by not having to prepare, cook, and clean up dinner after the float. Thank you and see you next year.
Hamburger was a little better than Wendy's. Nothing special about the service. Small area to eat so not much atmosphere. Good for the local area, as there is not much close by.
Cute little place. Bergers were good but the carmal sunday was not great.less than a spoonful of carmel.
Haven't been here in 10 years. It's still the same as I remember they still have this place amazing as ever.
We were out for a Sunday drive and stopped at Jackie's Snackette! What a great little find. The cheeseburgers and fries were great, the food was fresh and the hospitality was wonderful!
Not a pleasant experience. There were three workers and three customers present when we walked in. Simple order.one would think; however, it proved disastrous. First order: regular chocolate ice cream cone. The employee handed me an ice cream cone slathered in chocolate syrup, dripping syrup down the cone and along the employee's hand like molten lava. It was a disgusting mess. The second order: large chocolate milkshake. After 25 minutes of waiting, I inquired on my shake, along with a customer who had ordered prior to my arrival. I received a snippy response from an employee, "We've been busy. " After observing the workload during my wait, which was an order from a gentleman who arrived after me, I decided it was time to get a refund on the shake. The employee did deliver the refund in a timely manner, but I could see displeasure in one customer who was also waiting on her order prior to my arrival.
I've been going here since i was a kid. I highly recommend the marshmallow shake with extra marshmallow cream. The burgers are good, too. It may have changed owners, but the tradition is still alive.
Love this place! Great food and service and the ice cream (no matter if it's a shake, cone, or a sundae) it's absolutely amazing!
It never matters who is working the grill. Jackie's has always the best cooks making awesome grilled burgers that taste just as good or better than Freddy's or Steak & Shake. Only take away that still doesn't affect the 5 Ninja Star rating is the historically missing Juicy Burger that used to be the headline of the menu, but is no longer served. Me and my family still ask, but the answer is usually the same. They're out.
Last thing, the shakes selection is pretty diverse and my regular favorites are their chocolate and strawberry. Delish!
Unless you have time to wait 58 minutes to wait do not order soggy bun coustmer came to us in the parking lot and yelled at us to give h his order (both are foods we're exposed
