Please hire a professional experienced photographer for your studio. 90% of our photos turned out horrible. The photographer seemed in a rush and she was rude and unprofessional. Total waste of money and time!

Everything about our experience was disappointing. The employee that was working was about a half hour behind so we had to entertain our 2 year old during that time. She didn't introduce herself to us and had zero personality. She made no effort to engage with my kid, had andno idea how to capture therea shot, and there wasn't a single photo that turned out. I spent a lot of money on clothes and was so excited and have had good experiences here before. I am so disappointed in how this turned out.

Our photographer did a great job with the kids and me. I can't wait to get the pictures. I always get good quality and service at Penney's Portraits. The whole store is pleasant.

Staff did not know how to take pictures of young kids. Also, we only got 10 minutes of pictures of our whole 30 minute appointment because there is only ever one person working and she had to keep stopping to answer the phone and help people buy the pictures they came to pick up. We got better pictures with our phones while she was gone than she did in the few shots she was there because she wouldn't take the shots of the toddler smiling because he wasn't in "pose".

This place is horrible had a 6 15 appt. With a two month old didnt get in until 7 and the photographer was terrible wouldnt recommend to anyone

Deals are okay. But hours of photos should be same as entire store. Charge $8 to ship pictures to you that you already pay a lot for. Now I have to drive an hour to pick up pictures I've already attempted to pick up once before but they closed at 5PM on a SATURDAY when the actual store doesn't close til 9PM. Session was rushed and my son was cranky and my ideas of how to get my son to smile wasn't welcomed by photographer. They took full control and spent about 10 minutes doing our session.

Worst experience ever! The employees here are not well trained with photography, they rush you in and out and the photographer has lack of interest in children! Will never come to this studio again!

We came in here I think it was this location if not West County. But anyways I came here with my 8 month old and fiancé to take family portraits. I did feel rushed at times and I thought 350$ was a little high to print them but luckily we can print them else where. The photographers name was Emily and she did a great job with our son. She talked him right through it because he's one energetic little kid. I didn't agree with her at all about getting black and white pictures bc we Were paying like 125$ for them and we love COLOR and have nothing to hide! Other than some difficulties and terrible prices on printing them, Emily did a outstanding job. We would come back and take our little man though maybe during Christmas but all in all I was 110% satisfied with his portraits thanks

The front desk clerk lacked basic knowledge on the portrait studio (what backgrounds were available). The photographer was nice and friendly, especially dealing with my 9 month old son, but our entire experience was rushed. Appointments time definitely need to extented.

Has a terrible experience using JC Penney Portraits at Mid Rivers Mall. We had a large family which included 9 kids and 8 adults so we went up to JC Penney during the week to talk through our appointment. It was during that conversation that they told us to schedule for 2 appointments so that they would have enough time to take all of the pictures we wanted. They also changed our appointment time from 9: 00 to 8: 00am to ensure that we would not be rushed. We show up at 8: 00am to find out that we only have 20 minutes to take all of our pictures. So we asked a few different employees how long each of the session should be and we were told different things each time. Some said each session should be 20 minutes, another said 15, and another said 10 minutes. Long story short we only got 20 minutes and we had to cut many of the pictures we wanted to take. To top off the horrible experience the room is so small and it was blazing hot. We did not come out of the almost $800 experience (before our coupon) with one good picture. I would never recommend going to this location to have your picture taken. They staff was not knowledgeable and the entire experience was rushed.

They completely rush you! They don't care about what the experience means to you and your family! The only reason I went was because I had a groupon and obviously at the end of the day it's for the memories. But I wish that I wouldn't have gone now due to the lack of care here. Would not recommend this place to anyone!
