10I have to say Kathy and Jane that has the water aerobics classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings has made my life better they are truly awesome and I appreciate them taking their time to be there for us
Very nice employees. The person at the front desk (didn't get his name) was very patient answering all my questions.
I attended a family reunion at the YMCA. I haven't been to that building in nearly 2 decades and it was just as immaculate as I remembered. The staff was friendly and the area was well taken care of.
Been a member since I was a child. Will be a member until I die. JCYMCA is a wonderful place to stay healthy. The people are kind and the areas are well cleaned. This includes the bathrooms.
Even though I tried to cancel 10 days into the month they plan on charging me for the full month. I couldn't even get into the classes I signed up for cuz there was no room.
They do not support youth under 13 in the gym. They are just trying to get your money. It's sad that what used to be a good organization has turned into a money grab.
Love my Y. Always a friendly greeting at check- in. Special thanks to ALL our lifeguards especially the 5am crew.

This Year is 2022 I attend the Jefferson County Ymca My Year in Review Overall The Question What Instructor had a Great Influence in your Motivation and Why? I have to Narrow down to Two it only Fair they are both Deserve High Remarks Lets Begin with Kim Gibson She Teaches Zumba Yes a Dance Class but with her Skills Motivation and Dedication She has inspired me next Year will be Ten Years of Zumba Excellent Instructor The Next Instructor Heather Lang Instructor for Sprint Cycle This is my First Year taking her Class Her Inspiration and Drive is Tremendous Heather Encourages All Students 10 Star Year Carla Hill
When I 1st started at the YMCA, I referred to Vita (secretly to my husband) as the drill sergent. She is no joke when it comes to whipping your butt into shape.
But don't let that scare you. She is also the most compassionate person you will probably ever meet.
She loves all her clients and cares so much about their well being! And I now love her just as much!
Whether it is a water class such as Aquacise (she does several others also) or a Senior Sneakers class you cannot go wrong with choosing Vita as your instructor. She very knowledgeable, reliable and dependable.
I have not used my personal trainer session yet. But when I do I will definitely ask for her.
**As a side note, even though this review is intended to complement Vita for all her hard work and dedication. I also, need to add that in my experience the entire staff @ the Jeff County YMCA are pretty amazing. **
