Jeffrey's Prime Rib & Lobster reviews
19The best prime rib and lobster served at the lake with beautiful facilities, a great chef and excellent wine selection. One of my favorites.
This was our 2nd trip to Jeffey's. Only place we've been to that has the fried lobster. Just the two of us went this time and were seated at a table for 2 against a wall. So small they even had to hang the salad of the side of the table. New waitress that had only been there 2 weeks but she did a great job and doing her best. Wife had a filet that wasn't very good. We will still be back.
Absolutely fantastic! The food was so good, had the steak and lobster. Steak was perfectly cooked and the lobster was so tender. Owner is so kind and the service is top notch. Everything was super clean and nice. Will return soon!
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Jeffrey’s. Lobster bisque starter was good. The salad was served family style with all the dressing choices. The blue cheese dressing was really good. I ordered the ribeye and fried lobster while my husband had steak and fried lobster. We saved the best for last and finished our meal with the chocolate lava cake, the best part of the meal.
Very nice staff and atmosphere, but the calamari was unique, very chunky and the batter fell off. The dinner salad was great, but the 6oz steak was overpriced for the size and quality, it was accompanied with friend shrimp that was really good.
6 of us went for dinner on a Saturday night. We had to wait about 35 minutes for a table. Everything we ordered was spectacular! I really loved the deep fried lobster.
Food wasn't good at all for me. Way over priced for the food. I wouldn't have went but the wife wanted to try it. It's like old rich people please.
Terrible service! They were rude rt when we walked in and that was the owner. The food wasn't worth the price. Prime rib was cold and not choice meat. The only good part was the French onion soup. Don't waste your time or $. Go to Bourbon Barrel instead!
Loved, loved Jeffrey's Prime Rib and Lobster. The food was DELICIOUS. EXCELLENT service and the price was just right. Met the owners and they were exceptionally nice. I highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.
The place is very nice and has a great ambiance. Staff was attentive and personable. However, the food did not live up to the environment or the high price tag.
All seafood was beer battered and fried, masking the taste of the lobster and shrimp. The steak was barely seared and seemed more broiled than grilled, with very little seasoning or taste.
With some better execution from the kitchen, this place could be spectacular, but the dishes were $15 a plate caliber, not $60.
What a great birthday dinner. Probably one of the best meals we have ever had. The food was so good. Definitely going back sometime.
Blatantly racist. Was asked by the staff “Are you sure you would like to eat here” as they scanned our family. Never have experiences such direct and rude snarky comments.
Overall, a good experience. Food was delicious, Service was good. Almost tried to hard to be high end, but nothing that deterred from the experience
In response to the owners reply: It is true, and this did happen at your restaurant. You were quick to respond implying the whole situation was false, and it must have happened elsewhere. Instead of trying to reach out to figure out who the employee was. This happened on Saturday evening 7/9, shortly after 7pm. It was a lady, probably between her 40’s-50’s. Hopefully this helps you.
Didn't get the chance to enjoy the great food. Maybe this was for the best. When asking for a table the hostess response was, "Are you sure you want to eat here? ". My Family had every intent of eating there but apparently we weren't to her approval. Not sure what that was about. Do better, seat your tables accordingly!
Everything fried. Lobster tasted like Popeyes chicken. More lobster in bisque than in the ravioli which tasted like it was filled with flour. We expected high prices as it was a steak and lobster place and are willing to pay for great food. Did not find that. Service was really good. Maybe we should have read the website closer but a total disappointment.
Wow! So much I want to say about this sparkling gem in the Ozarks. We had no knowledge of this restaurant beforehand. Staying at the nearby Margaritaville resort, we just drove by and saw the sign. We noticed the inviting exterior and planned to give it a try.
I looked at their website and called for a reservation. They're only open Wed thru Sat for dinner. I now know it was one of the owners I spoke to who told me they weren't taking reservations, it was first serve only. I was a bit nervous when we arrived to a full parking lot, but had no other plans, so we went on in. We were greeted by the voice on the phone with a big smile. Mary assured us the wait was only about 30 minutes. Turned out to be exactly that.
Boy was it worth the wait! You must check out my pics to see the evidence.
Salad was served family style. Nice and fresh and you should try their house dressing. It's a pleasant creamy oil and vinegar mix. They bring a service of all three dressings to try. Though I didn't try the honey mustard. Was too taken with the house dressing.
I noticed they feature lobster on the menu and it's all served battered and fried. I'd never had lobster that way. But I saw lots of servings hustled out while we were there. We didn't try any but will certainly do so next visit.
The prime rib was excellent. Incredible touch - they serve it with Yorshire Pudding. So delicious and such a proper pairing with beef. They bring a pot of au jus to the table and will slather as much as you like on your meat. The creamy style horseradish was the best I'd ever had - and with a fresh sprig of rosemary in it.so many fine touches here to be noticed and appreciated.
Like the 'loaded' baked tater I ordered. Usually, that means a tater on your plate with all the fixings sitting on top. Here? They bring your spud, the server cuts and spreads it right there at the table for you. And they bring all the fixings in little dishes so you can fix up the spud just like you want it. Plenty of all the toppings you could want.
Everything was perfectly prepared and promptly gobbled down. If you've read my other reviews, KC's famous Hereford House is my gold standard for steak and prime rib. This place far exceeds HH. Not an exaggeration. I attribute it to Jeffrey and Mary actually running things and seeing to all the details. Extremely friendly and rightfully proud of their restaurant. Everyone seemed to be. Service was excellent.
Try the creme brulee for dessert. They caramelize it for you at the table. Like I said so many fine touches here that make it such an enjoyable fine dining experience.
You want another one? They have mouthwash dispensers in the bathrooms. Mouthwash dispensers. Fantastic place.
Okay.first of all.the lady at the hostess stand was not friendly.we had called previously, and when we showed up we were told they weren’t taking reservations (which would’ve been nice to know before we got told we’d had reservations). The hostess was rude and unwelcoming, but when she flipped her page and saw our name her tone changed; not enough though.i understand being overwhelmed during a rush but that doesn’t give you an excuse to be rude to customers.she shoved us away to the bar and didn’t let us get a word out.secondly, the right hand door is locked.that’s a fire hazard.it also doesn’t make sense.
This is our 2nd time here. Over a yr. Ago it was great. This time disappointing. The lobster bisque is fantastic but the prime rib was tough and chewy and actually cold. We waited almost 25 min. Between salad and main course. Server was nice and busy all the time. It was our anniversary which we told them when we made the reservation and no mention or dessert like other restaurants do for special occasions.
Absolutely wonderful every time! Anything you order that is fried, is PERFECT! And there isn't anything you can order that isn't amazing! The wait is worth it!
