Jiffy Lube, Independence MO

Stop in at Jiffy on, my way home to St. Louis, MO I was traveling through Kansas and my wipers were not preforming well. I knew jiffy Oil did other service than oil change. Knowing rain will continue I zipped off the interstate spotted a Jiffy lube, attendant Vernon replaced my wipers and I was on my way.

They didn’t have the oil needed for my oil change. They told me it would take 15 to 30 minutes for the oil to be delivered. 2 1/2 hours later they gave me a $15 discount for my time. While waiting, I got to hear the head mechanic critique his employees and how they did their job (in a very unprofessional manner). I will not be returning.

My fiancée brought my Explorer in for an oil change this morning. Vernon and Charlie took care of her and were very professional and courteous to her. My fiancée had mentioned to them that they were both being very pleasant, which isn’t always the case. Vernon then proceeded to explain to her his customer service philosophy. I stopped her and asked if that was the manager speaking, because what he was saying was quality management ideals.

We have been taking our vehicles to a different company for a long time, but I believe Vernon and Charlie secured two new long term customers.

Said they could not check fluid level on a sealed transmission but had done it in past visits. Was not a full service store anymore.

I want to file a complaint about your shop in Independence, MO on 40 Highway. I traveled to Independence to help my 95 year old mother who was sick in the hospital. Her 1995 Buick needed an oil change. My brother suggested Jiffy Lube so I took it there. I told them I had a $15 off coupon. I told the attendant that I had the coupon and asked him how much an oil change was. He said $69 or $89 based on blend or full synthetic. I was charged $102.30! I live in CA which one of the most expensive states in the US and have never paid half this amount for an oil change! This was such a ripoff!

Have gone here numerous times. Pretty consistent in their service and appreciate the topping off between oil changes

Charles did an outstanding job! Another oil and lube location couldn’t figure out how to drain the oil in my make and model so they couldn’t perform the service. Charles had no problem at all.

Had a great experience today, the service was fast! Vernon did a great job answering my questions and had exceptional customer service skills!

The two workers there were great! Oil change did not take long at all and they were super nice and helpful! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it is quite pricey but the worker there hooked me up with a coupon to help with that.

Charles was helpful in presenting discounts that would save me on the total bill. Good heartfelt employee to treat someone how he would wanna be treated. Service was excellent, best time to go is when they 1st open and weather is cold cause most people are still snuggled in.lol.

I am the former general manager of this location, I wasn’t fired but voluntarily separated from the company, here are a list of reasons. The company like any company is greedy, they punish us the employees is you the customer do not spend enough money, we get wrote up for not doing our jobs correctly if you don’t spend enough money. The district manager will come in a do a “pulse check”, making sure we want to keep our jobs, when the weather is bad I was blamed for you the customer not being out to get oil changes, when Covid started I was told I wasn’t doing enough to get guests, and I was gonna have to work 7 days a week open to close but only get paid for 40. Folks I worked for jiffy lube back when it was heartland automotive and when I came back when it was team car care I was told it was very different, the only thing that was different was the faces, they want us to use our own tools to do things for the company, otherwise it is very much the same as heartland automotive they do business the exact same. I would urge folks to completely boycott jiffy lube and team car care until they learn what doing good ethical business is. Again I am not a disgruntled employee infact I am doing something I love and happy I made the choice to leave the company I am just tired of seeing my friends and family get burned by this company!

My first time at this particular Jiffy Lube. The two guys kept with their word, at time of my oil change, with how the service would be conducted, that they explained to me on the phone. They were friendly, patient with my questions, professionals, and didn't try to sell me more than I requested. I highly recommend.

These fellas were awesome. Changed my oil. Made sure my tire pressure was good, added windshield fluid. I was in and out 15 minutes these fellas at jiffy lube

The guys who work here are amazing. I had awesome service with friendly conversation and my oil change went quickly and smoothly.:)
