JOANN Fabric and Crafts, Independence MO

First: I was treated poorly when I I had to tell them my sewing machine type in order to determine what kind of bobbin I needed. Unbeknownst to them, I needed it to get me by since my very good singer was being repaired. 2nd: Went in looking for oil for the same machine but the price was exorbitant so I left without purchase. As I excited, a woman at the register called out to me "ma'am" as if I had stolen. Never again!

This has been my go to store for craft supplies over the years. The staff has always been friendly and helpful although at times they seem very short staffed. Today I visited their restroom and found it absolutely filthy. I can't believe it's not cleaned properly. The walls and floor are grimy and gross. Worst bathroom I've visited in a very long time - like some nasty rest stop or port a potty. The management really needs to take a close look and sort that out.

Girl…tell me why 2 employees walked out of the toilet without washing their hands TWO.i’ve been coming here since 2021 and i never thought the employees were that careless please sanitize the stuff you buy from here because you don’t know if these people even have e.coli or what not.

09/03/23 stopped as they have the best selection of upholstery foam. Cedar helped me find what I needed and in foam and some fabric for our '56 I'm restoring. Must not had gotten a pic of all the new foam and batting on the frame before sewing the covers. He even gave me a tip for the 40% coupon. A+ Customer service (and selection).

Stopped by for some fabric cutting rotary blades. And they had exactly what I was looking for.

I really should stop shopping at Joann’s. I’m fed up with rude customer service. If I pay online for a store pick up, why do I have to wait in line for 15 minutes? I thought it was supposed to be convenient for the customer. All the lady had to was turn around and grab my order, but instead she made me wait in line until she waited on the other customers.

The cashier was very kind and helpful. I love shopping at JoAnn's and being able to stack coupons! I am sad that JoAnn's no longer has the craft classes that they would have prepandemic.

I visit this store quite often. The employees are really nice, but they are always so understaffed that they can't help customers. The items I need have been in the store since last week but they're still not on the shelves. The employees are unable to help me because they have to stay on task and I'm told I cannot order online and wait outside because they can't get to it today.

Been working on a few home DIY projects and needed some synthetic leather fabric and foam for large ottoman table I am making from an old table. I was able to get all that I needed on a budget, even decor tacks and staples for gun.

This store has the best staff, who are friendly, helpful and efficient. I get many of my needed items from them.

They have everything from fabric, art supplies, hobby and specialized craft kits, tools, boards, and canvases.honestly feels like craft heaven! I love the variety and I was probably longer in there than I'd planned. The store is huge:)

The only slight pain point is the cutting table. It gets a bit busy and many times just one cutter and a long line of people.
If they manage that better, they'd be one of the best stores all around.

Will NEVER go to Belton location again! Unwilling to assist customers if it deals with walking no acknowledge of customers waiting

I stopped going to this store because I don't like standing in the checkout line 2-3 times longer than it took for me to find what I wanted. 1-2 registers open, regardless of how many people are waiting to check out, is normal. What's the point of having multiple registers if you're never going to use them? The last two times I went, the line was so long that I got tired of waiting so I put the merchandise down, walked out and went to Hobby Lobby. Other than that, it's a pretty good store if you don't mind standing in the checkout line for an unreasonable amount of time.

Great inventory, Knowledgeable employees and alway greet me with a smile! Love this place for all met craft projects

My favorite store! I always find everything I need when I go to JoAnns. For sewing to any craft project.

I visited after several years and was overwhelmed with how much they have to offer! I was able to get everything I needed to make this doll and more!

The cashier 669344 was incredibly rude to the customers before me. I won't be returning to this location.
