Joplin Transfer Station

I have been double billed multiple times. I called 2 weeks ago to cancel service and have called multiple times since, and not a single return call. Quick to call to take my money. But not to handle service matters.
My bill started at 80 not even a year ago
Now it's 125. Come get the dumpster and cans that you failed to pick up, and get the stuff out of my yard!

This place is horrible! It has been three weeks since they picked up our trash. Last week, husband called and was on hold listening to music before the call was answered for a half hour. They said they’d send a truck out. They didn’t. I called again today. I was on hold 27 minutes. I asked her to adjust our bill for the three weeks of no service. She said “We don’t adjust bills”. I told her to cancel our service. She said, “You are paid through the end of June. We don’t issue refunds. ” I will call the state now to see what my recourse is. I wish I had looked at reviews prior to getting involved with them.

I am sick of looking at my bill. Every time I have received one, which is every three months, my bill goes up $20-$30. It is currently over $150, and a little over a year ago it was only around $80. It is becoming unaffordable, and I think it’s terrible how they over charge their customers!

Charged 69 dollars a month, for twice a month pick up. Then charged me 185 as a final bill for no service. What a racket. Must be nice to get away with legal extortion. Essentially learned!

This company bought out McClelland Sanitation which I had a month to month contract with.nothing signed. I called to make my monthly payment and GFL answered and stated that they bought them out. I asked them what the price was going to be and the lady told me she did not know but I would be getting more info in the mail soon. I told her that would not be necessary and that I would call and go with a different trash company locally owned around me. I called and got it set up with a different company that day and have not had an issue til now (2 months later). I get a 3 month bill from GFL and I call them and they said they would cancel my service but I still have an unpaid balance for 3 months? Umm how? I never once signed up for service with GFL and not one time have they been to my house to get my trash nor do I have a dumpster with them? McClelland's dumpster is still in my yard EMPTY since the day I found out they were bought out and I told them I was not going with GFL for trash service.

Then I was informed that they had already looked up our house. Even after showing photos they still charged me as a contractor on the next visit. Said they didn't need the copy of the City of Joplin sewer bill.

They're open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. Until 11: 30 a.m. Then they go to lunch until noon and then they're open until 2: 30. maps did show 3: 30 but if you go after 2: 30 you cannot get in. Be sure and take your sewer and trash bill from the city of Joplin or you'll have to pay way more money. With the sewer bill it's $10.20 4 an automobile truck or eight foot trailer. If you have a trailer and a truck full it's $13.26 anything over 2,000 lb is not part of the city's program. Tree limbs and brush is separate and cost a bit more. Closed Fridays.

This place is a RIP off, charge 47 dollars minimum instead of a pound for pound fee. I had 450 pounds cost me almost as much as 2000 pounds. They are stealing.
