Jose Pepper's Mexican Restaurant, Belton MO

Love going here usually during happy hour was a little later today and got quite busy and loud but dinner was great service was great as normal

Janet is a great server and did an outstanding job for us.
One negative: the men's room is having drain issues, with both the urinal and the sink.
I am sure it will be cared for soon.

Stopped in here on our way home, quaint little Mexican style restaurant, food was hot and tasty, service was a bit slow, but I'm not really complaining, they were packed on a Saturday for lunch, they were trying to keep up, next time we through the area, will have to stop in

We always get the Jumbo Stuffed Jalapeños. Love them, but this time they were horrible. Not even edible. We got a to go order in Belton. I have always had great experiences but not this time. Time to look for something new!

Our go to spot. Always get seated quickly and have always had pleasant experiences with our waiters/waitresses. Food is always good as well as the drinks. Keep up the good work!

My favorite quick lunch place in belton. Always friendly staff and the lunch menu is large portions and always hot and tasty. I usually go for the Corona shrimp taco with beans and rice and a jalapeño margarita, or the steak and goat cheese towers. My sons always get the mini tacos with rice and the slushy from the kids menu. By far the best chips and salsa around.

Generally a good experience. Tried the mahi bowl - wasn't as good as the mahi taco. The bowl muddied the otherwise clean and crisp flavors that are usually present in the mahi taco. Had good waitress service.

Hard to get in and hard to get out. Not in a good way either.
When I walked in with my wife the only person behind front desk was in a personal phone call and we had to wait for another employee to take us in.
On our way trying to get out we were done at the table for over 10 minutes before they showed up for our plates. Then I still had to wait another 10 minutes to pay.
Other than that table service was kind and enjoyable company.
Those are the cons. Not too bad since I don't mind the wait.

The food was absolutely amazing though!
My burrito was amazing, I got the Monterey Chicken Burrito, and Espinaca Dip.
The chips were also hot and fresh on arrival.
These guys and girls might need more staff, but their food sure is good

I was at Jose Peppers on the 29th and food was served cold. Waitress informed us that she didn't know that there was no food servers. We also went back on the 30th. Received incorrect Margaret and also once again Waitress informed us she thought someone else had delivered our togo order. Awful service from a restaurant that normally has great service.

Seated immediately, served nearly as fast. Margarita was delicious, then both the crab and shrimp enchiladas and the fritos chimichanga were delicious and delivered piping hot.

Came in around 2pm and had terrible service. We sat at the bar and we didn't get any refills on our water or chips while the tables around us got excellent service. Our portions were extremely small, not like normal. We were given less than lunch size portions being charged for the dinner portions. The food was dropped off and our order was wrong and no one checked on us after that at all. I asked for my meal to be taken off since I didn't touch it the server got rude with us, didn't apologize or offer to replace it or anything. I am extremely disappointed especially since this is my favorite restaurant, I will not be returning.

Our meal is ready pretty quickly and we don’t mind the wait if it takes a little longer. We have 3 teenage boys so we think it’s a good family restaurant. We always enjoy the meal and everyone pretty much has a favorite. Even though no one has ever been disappointed in their meal.

We always look forward to going to Jose Pepper’s!

They have made improvements. Food was good. Typically they tend to "over cheese" most dishes but this time it was perfect. The blackened chicken verde was amazing. Service was on point.

Service was great! Food was great! I don’t know how authentic they are because they are a chain. With that being said, the food was still great!

Ordered to-go. Chicken and Avocado Enchiladas consisted of mainly gobs and gobs of cheese. It made the dish completely intolerable! Even the rice and beans had tons of cheese throughout - it was unacceptable. I had a few bites the first night (wasn’t very hungry) and the second night I just had to throw it out after noticing how much cheese was throughout. The flavor of the enchiladas was good, but would need to order with little to no cheese.

This was our worst visit to date. Our food came out cold; the plates were even cool to the touch. The plates are never cool to the touch.
