Mercy has always been unorganized. I don't mind when the the customer service is great. Thank you Dr. Gibbons for your patients with me. I got a terrifying procedure done. She was comforting, nice but direct.

Thank you to the receptionist, the nurse practitioners and Dr. Gibbons.

Dr. Gibbons is a no nonsense competent doctor who took time to fully explain my planned surgery. Her follow up after complications was awesome. I can handle waiting to see the best!

The office is awful and Dr. Gibbons is worse. I had some type of scheduling issue/oversight at all but one of my appointments, the worst of which was that they scheduled my ultrasound with no one there to do it. Once I sat in the waiting room for almost an hour before seeing on the screen that the doctor was in a delivery, they didn't even bother to mention it when I checked in. I had my son with me so I chose to leave and the receptionist yelled at me across the counter that I couldn't leave. The doctor is so condescending it borders on hostility, she wouldn't allow me to speak, talked over me and basically let me know that all of my questions were taking up her valuable time. I left her practice and went to Dr. Smith O'Brien, who actually treated me like a human being.

From the other reviews, it seems that the experience of going to the OB-GYN depends on WHY since there are no "in-between"
reviews. I did not go for an obstetrician, I went for a gynecologist. People going to the doctor shouldn't have to wait half-naked in an exam room for an hour to be seen by a doctor, ANY doctor. There isn't any other type of doctor that looks you in the face after your hour-long nakedness and tells you that it's best for HER that YOU reschedule and is visibly upset when you refuse. The specialty really should be split; with people going for non-parenthood related visits being seen by a non-parenthood professional. Perhaps then I would have been treated like an person seeking medical CARE rather than another distraction for her REAL job.

On my first appointment with Dr. Gibbons, I had to wait an hour and a half in the waiting room. I understood because they were running behind, things happen, I get it. Finally I get back to the room and Dr. Gibbons comes in and introduces herself, tells me to take off my clothes and put on the gown and that she will be right back. I put in the gown and sit there naked for A FULL HOUR. I am not exaggerating in any way. I finally put my clothes back on and went in the hallway to find someone. I asked if they had forgotten about me and the nurse acted like I was crazy and told me to go back in the room. Minutes later Dr. Gibbons arrives and tells me that she did indeed forget about me. How does that happen? !? How can you make a patient sit there and wait naked on a table for over an hour? !
Sadly this was just the beginning of my problem with Dr. Gibbons and her office. I can never get ahold of any one or get the questions answered that I need, and the office staff are usually borderline rude with the exception of one really sweet lady. Finally I got the prescription I needed and will not be going back.

Competent doctor I suppose but her bedside manner is the worst. She didn't seem to care about things I was dealing with that weren't actually dangerous but quality of life issues. She barely spoke to me during our appointments. I would wait 45 minutes or more to have her rush in, do her thing, and leave quickly, barely speaking to me. And I've heard she's actually better than she used to be! Why go into a specialty where you have to take care of mothers and babies when you don't seem to like them very much? To make matters worse, the practice has a convoluted system for switching doctors within the practice. It has to be approved by Dr. Gibbons and by the new doctor you want to switch to, and if one of them doesn't sign off on it, you can't see any doctor in the practice. Just for wanting to switch. It seems petty and punishing toward patients. So if you are trying to choose a doctor in the practice, choose someone else besides Dr. Gibbons for sure. And if you are stuck with Dr. Gibbons, see the nurse practitioners as much as you can. They are sweet and caring and competent.

I loved her. I personally liked that she was direct and to the point. She delivered my first and only child and I really loved that she was to the point and didn't sugar coat anything. She always answered any questions I had and any problems I was having she was always informative and eased any concerns I had in her own way. The only complaint I had was that I had to wait in the waiting room for awhile but she had a lot of patients and a lot of babies to deliver and that right there told me she was one of the best.

The last appointment I had with her she was an hour and a half late. Then, during the appointment she refused to look into my hereditary thyroid issue saying that there was nothing she could do. This year, she kindly called the front desk after I had checked in to tell them to reschedule my appointment because she had to deliver a baby. I have to take off work to come to doctors appointments. This is ridiculous. One of the worst ran practices I've ever encountered.

Good informed dr, not overly personal but makes good judgment calls and listens to what you want/need.

Great doctor. Not a big talker but definitely great at making sure you and your baby/babies are healthy.
