Kansas City Public Library: North-East Branch reviews
11 Except odd ball hours of 1 -5 pm on Sundays is the place clean and secure to read or to study away from the chaos out here in the world of desperation and strife where one can't find housing even with a monthly income guaranteed each month to cover the rent of whatever place, that cañt be allocated for one damn reason or the other.
Staff are professional and helpful to you when you have a query of task at hand, as I am computer dumb and was helped greatly by staff filling out an on line application.with many other resources on hand to be used to hellp oneself better them self.
The library itself is great and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The issue I see is with the overwhelming amount of homeless people, it looks like a shelter. I understand that it's for everyone but I've seen erratic behavior from a few of the homeless and being very disrespectful to the staff, I have personally witnessed some of them curse and scream, they've stained the new furniture and make a mess in the restroom. I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing children in there. I find it deplorable that the staff can't get more support from the management downtown in dealing with the homeless.
Normally when I go here the people at the desk are Very Helpful. Not Today. I asked for help and. The girl on the right with glasses and blue top said We don't do that.the girl on the left jumped in.helped me.solved my problem. All I needed was something printed off. The non helpful girl needs to be fired.if she's not going to help people why is she there?
Kansas City BRAVO! YOUR PLANNING AND DESIGN TEAM KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. THIS FACILITY IS VERY CHARACTERISTIC OF KANSAS CITY'S EFFORTS TO ADVANCE its infrastructure. I LOVE THE FLOOR PLAN. THE STAFF IS FAIR BUT THIS LOCATION IS SO BEAUTIFULLY SITUATED THAT YOUR INTEREST IN THE STAFF'S ATTITUDE ARE SOON DIMINISHED BY THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF THIS LOCATION. I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS PLACE. HATS OFF!
The library has nice people. That help ordering the books you need. And getting the info you you're looking for.
Great environment and the staff Is always helping. FYI there Is NO POST OFFICE just PO Boxes and the curb side Mail Drop off! Other wise amazing Libray
I have been coming to the Northeast library forever and I love it. It's one of those places where you can just go to exist and that's bomb. The newly renovated building is beautiful with lots of space.
I love this library so much. I love libraries in general, but especially this one.
I'm roughly equidistant between this library and the downtown library, but I choose the Northeast library because of the people who work there and the atmosphere. Everyone I have encountered is friendly and helpful. I never feel intimidated or unwelcome. Plus, the bathrooms are clean.
The selection of books at this location is a tad limited, but you can request almost anything and pick it up here.
I'll say it again: I love this library so much.
Fun exciting newly renovated. Separate areas for children teens and adults. Computers toys games and a wide selection of books and cvda. ALSO OFFERS HOT SPOTS AND CHROMBOOKS TO GO
Hidden gem of a library. Not too many people at any time of day, as far as I can tell. Staff is friendly, and knows their stuff, and you can tell they actually care about the place. Side note, ALWAYS spotless bathrooms. And the kids areas and teens areas are great as well.
This library is one of the best landmarks in northeast. The remodeled building is welcoming and staff are always very helpful.
