Kansas City Workhouse reviews
16Unique in its design but the area has been let go, lots of graffiti - which I love if it’s artistic but in this case, not so much. It’s now fenced off so you can’t get a decent view.
Love places like this worth the visit wish i could have see it restored but dont want modern day add on to it. Just to turn the clock back as it use to be would be awesome.
Was very disappointing. You can't get inside it's they haven't fenced just crazy because everybody wants to see a castle. Some crack guy was staring at me from across the street probably looking at my brand new Kia.
You feel like you just walked into a scene in Ireland or Scotland with the old castle. It is simply magical, sad that it's history is that of a woman's prison, but you can still feel like it's something out of a princess movie! The graffiti on the front is upsetting but in the courtyard there is some beautiful art. Fun visit!
Just a cool place to visit. I have not attempted to get in the grounds. I need to visit the other Kansas City castles.
Stay tuned.
Good place to go and just look at living history. Take in the beauty and take a good look at the site that, petty crime and the prohabition of alcohol built.
3 stars just because there was nothing but trash on the inside and nothing to really look out besides the outside kinda like a drive by view
It was cool to see again, but they now have it fenced off for some reason. It was much better when you could go into it.
They keep fencing it up, we keep finding ways in. Tread lightly, watch out for trouble, but don't let them keep you out.
Sadly this has suffered much vandalism and graffiti. It is fenced off to the public but you can drive by or walk by the castle. You get a nice view of downtown from the hill.
Cool place for pics. History is also near to rad up on. Future plans for his place seem dope. It was poppin just a few years ago.
Drove by today and it was CLOSED. My main jungle gym. Why do they have to ruin everything. I can go climb any tree on earth and fall out but they dont put up fences for that!
Great place for parkour and free running!
Cool spot to see artistic expression at the fullest.theres something to see when you add it all up.you can see it as a eyesore, or in a negative light, or you can see it as artist coming together and making something beautiful.this is an old prison built by prisoners in 1897 for a city jail.
Cool place to explore and look at graffiti. Also a good overlook for watching trains if you’re careful IT IS NOT PROTECTED WITH A BARRIER and there’s a probably 20 ft drop. Drove by today and the structure has a fence all around it so looks like it is sadly not tourist friendly at the moment
Day trip. Bring your Boots. Flip flops not recommended. Great photo opportunity. Not safe for little ones, in my opinion.
Really cool historical place to stop and look around. It was a great place for pictures, be careful of all the broken glass, and I wouldn’t go alone or at dark. Would be a very cool structure to clean up and restore.
