Katy O'Ferrell's Publick House reviews
14It's a nice relaxing Irish bar, up scale but without the high price. Bartenders are great, food is awesome. Can't say enough good things about this place.
We stopped here the day before New Year's and actually got a small tour from the bartender she was very polite and it was so neat to learn about Irish pubs great place to go
The place is beautiful. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. The service was excellent. The food was very good but a bit overpriced for what you get. I had the bangers and mash which consists of 2 sausages on a small bit of mashed potatoes with gravy and baby carrots on the side. As I said, it was very good. But at a price of almost 19 dollars.this will be a place that I visit only once in a great while.
I enjoyed my dinner (bangers & mash), service was wonderful and they have happy hour + nightly specials. I'll definitely go back so I can try something different from the menu.
The food was fantastic. The beer cheese dip was amazing. That's a must-order.
The servers and cooks was incredibly friendly and hard working.
Absolutely outstanding dining experience! My wife had fish n' chips, I had a 14oz ribeye medium rare dipped in a Jameson whiskey glaze with champ and carrots. Total 11/10. Liz, our server, was on point, checked on us, kept our drinks filled with perfect timing. Store was neat and clean, bathroom were not only clean, they smelled good. Amazing experience that we would like to relive again soon. I even got a fist bump from the cook that did my steak.dudes a master on a grill.
Every trip here is a different experience. Sometimes it is great and other times it is awful. The planks are awful all the time, but that is a personal opinion. To us dipping the fries in flour and frying them just leaves them pastie tasting. Most of the time the drinks are fine.
The atmosphere was AWESOME! The selection of draft was excellent. The food was okay.
I got the Pick Two. The Reuben sandwich was fairly flavorless, the stew was pretty good.
My husband got the portobello sandwich with fries. The fries were a little overly seasoned but the dipping sauce was delicious!
The stuffed mushroom appetizer had so much jalapeño in it that it was inedible, so that was a bummer of a wasted $9.
If not for the mushrooms I probably would have given it 5 stars.
We had the corned beef and cabbage - really well done. The Guinness was full and fresh and the place has a great atmosphere
The food was excellent. To be a bar showing sports, it was not super loud. Me and my colleagues could have an extensive conversation without yelling across the table. The service was outstanding as well. Highly recommended
Service & food was great, portion size was small but the root beer float was fantastic!
I've been holding off on this review of Katy O'Ferrells Irish Pub and Restaurant for a couple of weeks. I went in for lunch then to give them a second chance. I really wanted to have Shepard's pie. Unfortunately, even though it's titled Shepard's pie on the menu, this "Irish" restaurant doesn't have this dish. Shepards have sheep and lamb. This pie is made with beef, which makes it a cottage pie. After seeing one come out from the kitchen and noticing it was absolutely swimming in grease, I decided on a different dish. Fish and chips made with cod. What could go wrong? Well, the fish was cold in the middle, soggy, and swimming in water. This happens when the fish is either hastily battered and thrown in the fryer from frozen or if it's thawed in a tub, which will naturally have water in the bottom, and hastily battered and thrown in the fryer. In addition, the oil wasn't hot enough. The potato planks were undercooked and tasted of fish in addition to being under seasoned. Even their sauce wasn't enough to help them. The reason the taste was off is because someone used the same oil for potatoes that they used for the fish. This is just a huge no-no and should be common sense for anyone operating a fryer.
The service was top notch! The poor girl who served me was also responsible for tending bar at the time, and she managed to handle everything very well.
Friendly staff, non-rush casual atmosphere, excellent service, great food. Easy to carry on a conversation at normal voice levels.
