Kirksville Aquatic Center reviews
17I love going to swim here. They did a huge remodel, which lasted a couple years. I think the indoor and outdoor pools look almost exactly the same as they did before the big remodel. I wish they had changed more about the pool. It would have been really nice to have a hot tub, or even two hot tubs. I wasn't particularly impressed by the remodel, but I liked the pool before and I still like it now.
This place is great. I would bring my family there. To spend a day. It's within a public park and have swings grills etc.
I have found this place very helpful with being an indoor pool only thing that sucks is it's not heated once you leave the indoor pool to go to the showers but it's very helpful with disability needs for exercises. The staff is nice and helpful with questions that you may have.
Wow! Great place and huge! Did you know the aquatic center is approximately 167th the size of the Atlantic ocean? I didn't, but now I do!
The pool is absolutely massive, like actually mind-blowingly so. It's about 1/167th the size of the Atlantic Ocean
This is a really nice facility that was recently remodeled. Fully heated indoor pool and a variety of programs going on.
This place was really cool! Lots to do for all ages. Large slides, a small slide, lazy river area, splash pad as well as diving board and rock climbing over the pool.
The kids really liked it and we'll be back next year!
$3 for 3 and under $6.50 for 4 and older.
Not all the food options weren't available after being open 20 minutes. Mentioned before or put up a sign of what's available. Personally all should be ready to go when they open (come in and prep/start before the pool opens).
Very nice swimming center. Pool is nice and wide open. Plenty of seating and activities to do.
It was an amazing experience! Me and my step mom had and amazing time and when we got to the bathrooms there’s was a blow dryer for our clothes! Amazing! Also Mathew, amazing lifeguard and great to get along with!
Are there rules for the swimming lanes? It's upsetting to those not able to workout in them when children are allowed to play in them with floaters and the lifeguard refuses to move them. No one seems to know the etiquette when swimming in the lanes either. A few signs with rules and etiquette, like get to the right is there is a faster swimmer behind you, would be great. Every time this happens whomever the lifeguard is refuses to remove those playing, going under the ropes, etc. Thanks!
We came as a a family this summer and LOVED the new outdoor facility! My young children loved all three of the slides, where most of the time they had a small wait time. We also really had fun trying the climbing the wall and going off the diving board! As an adult I was thankful for the wading space so I could see all of the areas my children were using, and not feel crowded. We loved that there were many things all of us could enjoy. The locker rooms/bathrooms were clean. And the concession stand had many options to choose from! We will be back again next summer!
We hosted a birthday party here and it was great! They were super accommodating the whole time. It rained so we moved the party indoors and it was perfect. We rented a cabana for the party but we didn't end up needing it because it was raining and we were the only ones there. Had it been a normal sunny and busy day the rental would have been totally worth it. 10/10 recommend for birthday parties!
There new pool is so fun and you will never get bored there. They have a wide selection of food and snacks and drinks to pick from and there is a whole bunch of ba y and kid friendly things to do.
Probably the best public pool I have been to! So much fun! We loved the water slides. The lazy river is my absolute favorite. I love how there is a splash pad and a shallower area for little kids. They have a great food selection too! It costs a little more to get in, but its worth it with all the fun things to do.
The pool is under new construction so it's not open but the park is great place to take kids.go for walk.take the dogs or just sit under a shade tree for a picnic.
1st time here, from Kansas city area. On visit to Truman college. Thought we stop by. We enjoyed it.says they are closed Sunday's but they are open some. Outside pool closed but was still nice. Our hotel pool was way to cold to swim at. They have showers, changing rooms etc.
