La Tolteca Authentic Mexican Restaurant, Columbia MO

I usually clean my plate but the chicken nachos was to much for me. The chicken was seasoned great and the queso is amazing. We like the fresh homeade salsa as well.

We stopped here for supper while on a road trip. I got a Tacos Al Pastor; wow! They were some kind of good.

Fast service, highly recommend it!

The food here was amazing. I had their Chori Pollo, a dish that was essentially chicken breast topped with chorizo and their cheese sauce, with a side of rice and beans. The chicken was very tender and easy to slice through, and the chorizo tasty. They also served tortillas with my dish to create small tacos or burritos, which definitely uplifted an otherwise simple dish. The chips and dips we were served, which included their normal salsa and a queso dip, were great, with obviously fresh-fried chips, and tasty dips. Would highly recommend.

The staff is always very friendly, it’s a nice clean facility, and the food is consistently good. There’s plenty of room for larger groups, and they boast a menu with a wide variety of foods.

Food is so good! Like really good! We used to go to the one in Jeff City. I was so happy to see they were in Columbia now. My favorite is the shrimp quesadilla but the nachos and fajitas are good as well. I never had a bad meal there. Choosing will be the hardest part!

There were 5 of us and each of us enjoyed our food, I cleaned my plate which I haven't done in years at a restaurant. Service was ok, good came out fast but it was very hard to get our servers attention after that. Only reason atmosphere got 4 stars is because it was cold? In there. Will definitely be back!

Food was good and reasonably priced. Service was efficient. Seated quickly on a Friday night.

I walked in on a Monday afternoon, probably around 4: 30 pm. There was only one other customer there eating. I noticed several tables hadn't been wiped down. It was a nice atmosphere overall.
After walking around looking for a waiter or waitress, a nice lady greeted me and asked if I could eat at the bar. I ordered a draft Dos Equis and it was cold and delicious. I ordered chicken chimichangas and they were fried perfectly. The salsa was good, but a little watery and had been in the refrigerator, because it was pretty cold.
I had to ask for napkins and silverware, as well as more salsa. I wasn't asked if I wanted dessert or a refill. The restroom was probably an 8/10 clean.
I would eat here again as I think I was there during off hours and they weren't staffed very heavily.

The ladies that received me and took my to go order did so with grace. Thank you ladies. I have gone several times. I had the Chicken burrito, Chori Pollo, Talteca Special, and a burrito Grande. I also had Aside of Pico de Gallo, Delicious! I will continue to eat my way through their menu that is full of great combinations.

The food was pretty good. If you like a lot of onions in your fajitas ask for NO onions and you will get an abundance of them. If you want extra beans to replace the rice you will be charged $2.50.if you want to get your soda in a go cup it will cost you 75 cents. If you want extra pico with your fajitas it will cost you $2.50.

This hands down my favorite Mexican spot in Columbia! The food is delicious, drinks are mixed right and the prices are fair! They have a large menu which is great for a family who have different tastes! My favorite is the Elcazelon (sp?) the carne asada is so tender!

This is the best Mexican restaurant in town. The service is outstanding. Everything is delicious. When you want Mexican this is where you go.

Wow! Fantastic authentic food, delightful decor with nice touches at an affordable price! Our waitress was available when we needed something but not obtrusive. I cant believe this place isn't PACKED…every night. It should be. Come here to eat you will be glad you did!

Newly just opened family run restaurant. Friendly and courteous staff. Lighting was bright.
