Medical Laboratory Labcorp reviews
19Terrible hours, super long waits when there is very few people waiting and such a rude staff clearly not caring about the people. If I had to choose I would never come here.
I walked in at 7: 00 and was called back by 7: 15. The woman who drew my blood was kind and helpful. She went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and then when I got nervous, (I have trouble getting my blood drawn) she was patient and comforting. I barely have a mark on my arm from where she entered the vein. Thanks for a smooth, quick experience!
I came here on a Saturday. Roughly an hour before they closed at noon. When I arrived there were 4 people in front of me. One hour later I still have not been seen and there is still another person in front of me. There is a sign to to speak with someone if you wait longer than 30 minutes but of course there is no one at the desk to speak with. Certainly not what I expected compared to other locations which typically have a wait of 15 minutes or fewer. Certainly will not return to this location.
Been coming here several years and always am treated perfectly. Lakeya never hurts. Very caring!
Very easy experience at this location. I walked in, scanned my driver’s license and insurance card, answered a series of questions, and the phlebotomist got me within a few minutes. I was the first appointment of the day, so no waiting as expected.
The phlebotomist explained everything and made me feel really comfortable with chit chat during the blood draw. No one likes this task, but it was as good as it gets IMO.
If walking is a challenge for you, the spots closer to the entrance fill up quickly and you’ll have to park behind the building.
Waited two weeks for appointment and day of Fingerprinting worker called off. Sat in the office a whole hour before someone told me the worker wasn’t going to be coming in. Was sent to further location.
Is this place closed down? Made an appointment online for 11AM on a Saturday. I show up 10 min early to find all the doors locked. No signs saying whether it’s closed or not. Waste of time and very frustrated that nothing indicated otherwise.
Went in for routine bloodwork, and the technician blew my vein. After making a bad stick, she dug around in my arm with the needle. Will never return to this location. The staff are both incompetent and rude.
Always make an appointment, if you are able. If you have a smartphone you can check in from your car and wait there until they text you. My appointments have been at 2: 15 & 2: 45 on Wednesdays and 2: 15 on a Thursday. The 2: 15 times had no wait at all & no one in the waiting room. The 2: 45 time had an 8-minute wait and there were 5-6 people in the waiting room.
If you are required to do a stool test and blood tests, please know that if your doctor puts them on the same order, LabCorp has to submit the stool & blood samples at the same time. You cannot do the blood draw & then take home a stool kit to bring back another day. If you require the blood results sooner than the stool results, ask your doctor to put them in as separate orders.
If you are a larger person, be aware that the room where you do the blood draw does not have accessible seating. The phlebotomy chair is especially narrow, and the other chair is a bit wider but still has arms. I cannot recall if the waiting room has accessible seating, as I always wait in my car.
This building is not accessible for people with chemical/fragrance allergies, asthma, etc. I’m not sure if it’s from air fresheners or cleaning products, but I always come home with my clothes, hair, and skin saturated in fragrance.
I was the only one waiting for service but waited for awhile anyway. The black lady who drew my blood, Anika, was beyond rude. She made me feel very uncomfortable as she wouldn't even acknowledge me. They need to hire different people as I have not met a single friendly person working there.
The young lady and man were very respectful and healed me get in and out within 15 minutes for a drug test
And it was early morning before 7: 30
Thank you both
I had to get a urine test done for work. I didn't have an appointment, but I walked in around 10am on a Wednesday and was quickly accommodated. The technician was very friendly and explained everything she was doing. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I'd come here again.
I've called the office line no fewer than 10 times over the course of two weeks hoping to get someone on the phone who can confirm my test order was received, with no luck. It's pretty obvious the staff are just ignoring any incoming phone calls. I've left voicemails multiple times asking for someone to call me at their convenience. The most convenient time for them is apparently "never". Unacceptable.
I was extremely displeased with my experience at the Chippewa location. I was refused service for an annual employee drug screening because I was told that I did not have a paper that had the test information on it. However, I was provided with the account number and test code from the requesting agency, which is all that is given and I confirmed that with the agency. This is the ONLY LabCorp location I have ever had an issue at and felt discriminated against. I pay for this service out of pocket and feel that your employee at this location is doing you a disservice by refusing service to customers. I will never return to the Chippewa location and was inconvenienced that day and had to drive 45 minutes out of my way to the Edwardsville, IL location, which provided fantastic service in a timely and professional manner. I provided them with the test and account numbers without any issues whatsoever. I also made a complaint with the requesting agency in reference to this issue and advised them I was refused service due to not having some sort of paper and they advised that I did not need said paper to have the test performed.
I would highly recommend some customer service training at minimum.
Staff extremely rude. Couldn’t find my fax and when I asked them to triple check because I had to get my blood drawn today and my doctors office was closed for the holidays she told me there was no way they would’ve missed placed the fax. Then I asked the woman at the desk to double check that she was looking under the correct name and she proceeded to tell me that she knew the alphabet. I just wanted to be 100% positive before I left that my order was not there and even apologized before asking the woman to check again. Advice to the staff: people are coming to get their blood drawn to test for health issues that may be very sensitive so please try to treat people with kindness when they come in.
I’m not sure why the reviews are so bad for this lab? I went right when the office opened this morning, 9AM on a Saturday. I was taken back right away, quick and painless blood draw. My phlebotomist was really friendly. I have to do routine bloodwork and I will definitely be back. ️
I get blood drawn a lot and am a big wimp about it. This is my go to place and they are lovely - kind, patient and attentive to details. I would highly recommend them.
I have nothing but good things to say about the staff here. They are always nice and the service is fast. The waiting room could be a bit bigger but I use this facility most of the time!
Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. I did not have an appointment, and I only waited 5 minutes until they took me back to draw my labwork. Excellent service.
