Lakeside Children's Academy, Valley Park MO

Scheduled a tour on a Thursday and went in Monday of the following week (first time able to tour). We had left work early to tour the facility. On our way there we were five minutes late due to traffic. I had called to let them know. Once we arrived the woman at the front desk continued to smile at us. Once the tour began the man let us know they were not accepting until May of 2024. The lady smiling at us continued to do so and then was like oh yeah! We are not accepting until May 2024 now. This is totally fine, I understand. However, I had spoken with her twice and called on my way there. She knew I needed August 2023. They did not tell us once about this until we got there. They had the audacity to tell us we could continue the tour. I don’t know if the goal was to get us in to still consider them or they just weren’t organized, but either way we will not be interested in using this facility.

My son was here from 7 months to almost five years old. We only left because we moved/ drive time. It was the hardest decision I ever had to make. The staff are amazing. There is nothing like walking in to drop your son off at school, when the director, owner and supervisors greet you at the door. They know your name, your history, and care about each and every kiddo. It’s that personal touch that you can’t get at a large center. This is family owned and operated. And it shows. I will never forget each and every staff member there who helped me raise son.

Lakeside has an amazing teacher retention rate which makes our kids feel so safe. Our boys are more motivated to learn and love going to school! Communication is wonderful with teachers and staff. Food is healthy. School is clean and safe at every turn. Potty training moves at your child's pace.

I called to get prices and everything was good to go until I said they were foster care children, all of a sudden they were booked until next December or maybe even January!? ! Hmm I bet that is not the case!
