LC's Bar-B-Q, Kansas City MO

This is our favorite barbecue restaurant. Every time we go to Kansas City or we drive through we have to stop and eat and then take some home for another day. The employees are always friendly and funny.

Recently moved to kc from the west coast and have been making my way to as many bbq restaurants as possible. So far out of the 10 I’ve tried LCs is hands down the best bbq I’ve ever had anywhere. I highly recommend the burnt ends and baked beans

Average food, nasty looking and very rundown place and they DONT OFFER SIDES OF SAUCE? !? !? I've never once been to a BBQ place that only offers an entire 14 oz bottle of sauce yet here I am. Ridiculous, would not recommend.

This place is everything that everyone says. It is! Well worth the drive across town and we even had to battle some Taylor Swift traffic.

Great of the beaten path bbq. Small space, great food. You should not enter a bbq place if you can't smell the food from outside, the smells outside make your mouth water!

Excellent stop on the BBQ trail! The pork sandwich was a double decker and was well worth it. I ordered the jalapeño poppers as an additional side and it came 14 to an order 14. At other places for that price, you may get 4. Fries were flavorful. Pork had a nice smoky flavor to it.

Food was amazing with really large portions. It’s an older building and looks a little sketchy but don’t let that stop you. It was the best bbq beef sandwich I have ever had.

Young man running the register, fryer and bagging orders was incredibly polite. He kept the line moving both for orders and pick up. Be prepared to wait, but it is worth the wait!

The ribs were great. I asked the point, fatty, section of the brisket, but didn't get it. Still it was very tender and thinly sliced. I would definitely stop here again

I can't say enough good about LCs. I had the pleasure of meeting the man, the myth, the legend himself my first time out to Kansas City. I was hooked instantly. Anytime I am remotely close to the area I push for a stop in and some of the best damn BBQ I've ever had.

Very personable place to eat, owners are genuine cooking from the heart, the burnt end beef tasted great, the amount is a lot, but I was brave enough to finish it. Sides are delicious. We loved it.

I'd been wanting to try LC's for a while now, and it didn't disappoint. Classic BBQ room, where the food is more important than everything else. The meat was very flavourful, it's in the top tier of KC BBQ. Huge servings to boot, makes it great value when you can take half a sandwich home and get two meals out of lunch. Top notch.

We will definitely be hitting this place up again when in the area. Looks like a Dive. And it is. But really good food. And a lot for the money.

About the atmosphere: this NOT a fancy spot, but it's an awesome old school BBQ joint. Get away from some of the more famous spots and get in here! The counter men were friendly and helpful, the portions were very generous. Most important, the food was great!

Apparently I ordered the worst thing on their menu. The short end was like eating a tough pork chop on a rib bone. These were the worst ribs I have had in KC without a doubt! I notice most of the bad comments are about the ribs.

The service is good and I love the dive atmosphere but do not get the ribs. If I ever go there again I will try something else.
Life is too short to eat bad BBQ!

The pork, brisket and baked beans were nothing less than amazing. The men cooking were obviously masters of their trade. I'm an amateur foodie and I was greatly impressed.

Love this place. These guys work hard and put out an amazing product. It’s small and often overcrowded but definitely worth it

The food was so incredible, I was pleasantly surprised and I will be back. The people running the establishment couldn’t have been any more friendly, this is one of my new favorite bbq places. Do yourself a favor and check it out it’s delicious for sure.

Service is very friendly and prompt. The dining room and restroom are both absolutely filthy. The pork ribs were ok, a little tough. The “burnt ends” were not very good at all, a lot of gristle, very little edible meat in our serving. If you dont want sauce, be sure and say so, as whatever you order will be served with a large amount of sauce poured over.
