Lew's Grill & Bar, Kansas City MO

Had some really good fish and chips a Caesar salad with blackened chicken and a Mac and cheese and green beans with bacon all of this was just over 60.00 I also had two different waitresses and the bar staff switched out during my meal NONE OF THEM MISSED A BEAT my drinks were always full yes I had more than one kind of drink

The GM needs to be let go and replaced with someone who treats patrons professionally with basic decency

Always a great outing. Makes me wonder how is the (comfort) food so good. In a bar? Steak and fries are better than 3 local restaurants (no names revealed). Such a great waitstaff. No complaints about this neighborhood BAR. The prices are good. The atmosphere is good. Took daughter for first time and they loved it.

Love to meet up with friends here staff is awesome and drinks are reasonable. Big boot of beer is only 14$

The presentation is great! Ordered the Pork tenderloin sandwich.yum, so big. Everything is very expensive like I’m at an Eddie Vs bar lol.
1.the onion was cut for a caveman, that’s ok push it to side
2.the lettuce was wilted: (that’s ok push it to the side
3.ok time for a bite yummm, oh what this, huge pieces of gristle and fat, that's ok, and wait what's this, the thinnest piece of pork ever, darn.that's ok i’m hungry keep eating.
Ok let’s try the mac n cheese:
Looks great, good shape for pasta, looks cheesy but not too cheesy.
First bite, no taste, nothing really special, darn

I got the beef quesadilla. By the looks of it I thought the food would be bland. But It was good. The food total $15 with tax. The bar didn't smell bad. It was clean.

The food? Spectacular. The beer? Even better! Local, domestic, imports, and never short of a suggestion if they don’t have what you’re looking for. However, the best part of this place is the SERVICE! Everyone I’ve met here is, plain as day, brilliant in what they do. I’ve had the luck many times over of having Miss Virginia as a server! In the 2 years I’ve known her from here (perhaps more? Has it been longer?), I am always truly blessed when she settles down at my table with a very honest, “Hi, how are ya! Any drinks I can get going for you? ” Cheers, Lews! Thanks for all the great times.

As a previous Waldo local, Lew's Grill & Bar was pretty much my preferred bar in the area. Generally speaking, I'm not a fan of bars because they're too loud. Lew's, however, will happily seat you outside where conversations are pretty easy to have.

Lew's has better food than any eatery in the small town I moved to from Kansas City. I've never had a bad server at Lew's, and the food is pretty ace. The prices are entirely reasonable.

If you can handle it, get yourself a boot of beer (84Oz?) and have a good time. The area is comfortable and the locals are pretty chill. Definitely a great place to drop by for a bite and good company.

Service is exceptional. Been there many times and haven't had a bad experience. Everything I have eaten there is very good. Great place to watch football too!

The waitresses were super cool. Very helpful & efficient. I went in to order some late night food & they were pretty busy. But the atmosphere was real chill & I’ll probably go back for drinks soon. The food was so-so tbh. Meatloaf was kind of disrespectful

Buffalo Mac sounded good from the moment I saw it on the menu. Boulevard wheat never disappoints. I tried this place on a whim and am glad I did. Longtime Waldo resident but only recently started frequenting Lews in addition to a few other local pubs. Jennifer and Virginia have been more than helpful! I’m a picky gal, but Lews always seems to have something. Thanks Jen and Virginia for all the great work that you do! You represent your business well!

Most unfriendly bartender ever! Sat at the bar for 5 minutes before I was able to wave her down, as I had to for anything.
Never a smile, never a nice comment or conversation. If she is having a bad day stay home, if sh hates her job she should move on because she is costing them money!

Good place to meet up with friends to play trivia night. Tuesday nights at 6 pm.

It's was a good time I took my son out to eat dinner here and we'll the food was awesome the crowd was good and the staff was awesome all I can say about this place is that awesome

Mannnn, they came through, I was starving and they have late night grill favorites. I had some kinda catfish claws or something, they were awesome, piping hot and well past 1: 00am.been her long time ago when they first came on the seen and they have come into their own and they are looking good. I use to work at this property way back when it was Michael Forbes Grill.there's a blast from the past

I think it was Pine Sol so it was clean but I just hate that smell especially if I am eating.

Never had a burger in my life the way this place made a burger whoa 10.6 also we was looking for a place to eat late sunday (not on purpose) but we have a kids with us at 8 in the evening an was very confused due bar but a amazing gentleman ran to us as we was leaving stating we were welcome in an that it was fine for the kids an was given a great waitress treated us soooo well just was a great experience an first time here if you want a nice great vibe an a great burger that will make your tongue slap your brain your at right spot this place was amazing an for the burger i had was the I-70 great place i’ll for sure be back!

I haven't had everything on the Menu yet, I been here 4 times so far. Once during COVID (killing time while getting serviced at the tire shop) which was my first ever time and even then these people have been fantastic. My last time I was here was on a PACKED trivia night but there was room at the bar, these folks are attentive, kind, and quick. Very responsive. Everything I've ordered so far has been fantastic, chef if you're reading this, thank you! I drink pretty quick or compared to my friends and family and I'll put down a pint way quicker than them.not saying I slam them but I enjoy them, so in 2 pints of the delicious beer on tap I usually have my food right there in front of me. In my opinion I think the kitchen is pretty quick EVEN ON A PACKED NIGHT. My last time there it sounded like trivia night and it was delightful to have a happy crowd there and the whole house was singing all the songs we knew. This is A GREAT SPOT. In my 4 times here I can tell you I'm hooked, do it, go here. I recommend it to anyone. Great atmosphere, delicious Menu! I can't wait till I've eaten everything here. Thank you Lew's pub for welcoming a Colorado guy to Kansas City.
