Loftis Small Engine reviews
17Purchased a new Husqvarna Lawn Tractor from Loftis that has a defective seat that moves forward when stopping or going down a slight grade and will not stay safely locked in place. Contacted Loftis about the problem and they picked up the mower and then returned it (at no charge) but unfortunately they did not fix the problem. Loftis picked the mower a second time, but this time they wanted to charge a shop and delivery fee although again they did not fix the problem. Tried numerous times to talk to owner but he was never available and after this last visit the Loftis employee informed me that Loftis was thru with me and the mower (which has a 3 year warranty) so as recommended by Husqvarna I took the mower to another shop. They were able to greatly improve the seat function but are in the process of a "Novel Idea" of filing a warranty claim with Husqvarna to replace the defective seat.
Don't buy a lawn mower here sold a a Lowes mower with issues and then treated us poorly when trying to get it fixed lost all our paperwork on its and embarrassed us in front of others worst customer service and scams on new lawn mowers
Don't ever get a mower from here. My dad was sold a lemon and they refused to fix or replace it. When he called the lady on the phone was very rude. He's only had it since February and it's been in the shop 6 times. It only has 30hrs on it. What a joke of a place.
Absolutely the worst.
They kept lying to me about whether my mower was being worked on. Kept contracting themselves on what order it would be worked on. The lady who answers the phone literally lied to me several times and couldn’t get anything done. The owner undermined the lady in the front office saying that the mechanics didn’t work on my mower because they didn’t do what she said / didn’t take her seriously and just did what they wanted to.
It took over 6 weeks to get my mower back and all they did was basic maintenance. I would’ve picked it up earlier and just done it myself but they kept telling me it would be done by certain times then didn’t get it done.
Would NOT recommend.
Only gave 2 stars instead of one because the work was done just fine once they actually worked on it.
They provided me with the best service and assistance I've been given in quite awhile.
Probably THE BEST customer service in the area. They will literally go out of their way to help their customers. Steve, Bill and the gang have the game figured out.take care of your customers and they will always come back. An asset to Ozark and Christian County.
You should get everything in writing and read the fine print. I once believed that the guys there were all honest and up front. Not true.you need to know the value of everything that goes in there for repairs and get in writing exactly what will be done and when it will get done.
They have a lag regarding the turnaround time to get mowers returned from what should be routine servicing. The typical wait time to get seasonal servicing done on mowers, at Loftis, is approximately two weeks. We bought our mower from Loftis approximately four years ago, and the turn around time used to be less than a week for servicing; their customer service has gone downhill, which is a huge disappointment. We will most likely focus on finding someone else to better service our mower, and in less time.
Do not turn to these guys if you want your mower dealt with in time for you to begin mowing for the season. Tried calling for an explanation as to what the hold up is, and the guy never returned back to the phone. I was on the line for approximately 15 minutes. Tried calling back and the phone just rang and rang. I also tried calling a few days ago, and the person who answered the phone wasn’t even aware that we dropped our mower off. We didn’t drop our mower off, Loftis picked it up. It has only been in the last two years that we’ve truly had a problem with their customer service. Honestly, it is beyond lousy at this point.
This place was an authorized repair shop for my dewalt 6500 generator. I had an issue with the idle control brought it in on a Tuesday they had it fixed by Thursday I think. Made a few small adjustments to the carb and it works as it should. If I have any other issues I will happily return for repairs. The inside is nice open floor plan not cluttered plenty of small engine tools and supplies friendly staff the huge horse dog was very friendly.support your local small business owners.
This is one of the best small businesses in the area. I have a DR lawn vaccuum that needed new wheel bearings on all four wheels. DR doesn't sell just the wheel bearings you have to buy the whole wheel, tire, bearing assembly. Loftis had four of the assemblies that they could have sold me at $40 each but the staff at Loftis went the extra mile and called O'Reilly's who had the bearings in stock. They saved me $90 and didn't make a dime. For the same DR vacuum, I needed an air filter which you cannot find at lowes or home depot. They didn't have one on the shelf so they took one off of one of their new units and sold it to me. Whenever I need something for my lawn equipment this is where I will go even though there are closer places.
I have taken my chainsaw there 4x to fix the same problem n it still wont run anywhere close to use it. The 1st time they lied about what they did to it.didnt do anythung ti it n charged me for it. Gave them 1 last chance to do it.got it back today w/them telling me there was water in the gas.not the 1st time they told me this.it still wont run to get any cuttin done. I WILL DRIVE A 100 MILES TO HAVE IT REPAIRED BEFORE I GIVE THEM ANY MORE BUSINESS! IVE NEVER DEALT WITH A PLACE LIKE THIS! IDK HOW THEY STAY IN BUSINESS. MY ADVICE. TAKE YOUR REPAIRS ANYWHERE BESIDES LOFTIS!
Had issues with my mower. They came and picked it up, repaired it and returned it to me for a very reasonable price and I wasn't left waiting for a long time without it.
I went to Loftis with a used Rollator Walker. Even though Loftis is a small engine repair shop, Bill was so kind! He worked on it for free fixing the brakes. What a wonderful, compassionate group of people! Thank you Loftis!
This is a great place to buy outdoor power equipment. What sets Loftis apart is their service. Once you buy a piece of equipment there, Steve Loftis will help you keep it running for as long as you own it.
I wish steve would have been there on saturday. He wouldt have never charged me 40.00 for 10 min job. Somedays they are on it. This day was not a good day. At least please cover the customers tools if you have to leave it outside.
Steve provided fast and professional service on my snow blower today. He picked it up and returned it all in the same day. Snow blower works great! Thanks again Steve.
Very nice people and good to deal with. Bill was outstanding when I purchase a new rider. He dropped everything to make sure I was getting what I needed. This is the second purchase from them. Would not go anywhere where else.
