Lost Hill Park reviews
17Stumbled upon this random park and fell in love. Random caves, cool rock formations and some amazing Native American history
Nice park. The walks are long if you want them to be. Signing could be a little better but nice place to let kiddos ride their bikes and take the dog on a walk. If you just continue on it does not loop.be mindful of that with little ones. The caves are interesting enough with kids as is the river with the fish and turtles. We went in fall and it was beautiful with all the color changing leaves. Definitely a diamond in the rough.
Very cool park that meets up with the Greenway trail. A little light on amenities, but over the top with scenery. There are chemical toilets, a swingset, and a few barbecue grills and picnic tables.
My absolute favorite park! Beautiful caves, really cool building remains. Just watch out for seed ticks!
First time being here. My kids loved it. Cute little park right outside of springfield. Definitely recommend
It’s a fun little park with long trails you can bike or walk and there’s a fun creek you can swim in and can take your kids to. Great spot with a little picnic area.
Nice trail for hiking or biking. The picnic areas are nice enough and surprisingly clean. Not a good place for getting your feet in the water, sadly. Plus, there's an odd smell around the water. There are tons of great picnic spots along the trail as well. The wilderness feel you want that's close enough to town. It's a must see. Port-o-potties only, is seems. Didn't visit those during my trip. Dogs must be on leashes.
Absolutely gorgeous area full of wildlife and adventure. Much of the trail at the start does not offer shade or much else, but less than a half mile in you start to see more trees, streams, and animals. I only hiked about a mile worth of the trail. I'd say I just started getting to the good part. If you are there for wildlife, I saw deer, fish, skinks, and a variety of birds just on my short walk. Great trail/park. Highly recommend!
This place was recommended to me by a friend. My dog and I had a very nice time there! There is a little creek just deep enough for her to swim in; there were lots of kids with their families playing in the water as well. There is a trail to walk, as well as a picnic area by the parking lot. Very clean and comfortable atmosphere.
Cool cave trail, beautiful walking areas.althought not very much water in creek this season. Very overgrown and ticks and bees bad this year
It's a gorgeous area, the walk is peaceful, and the scenery and caves are really rad.
A lovely walk that is beautiful in the spring. When water covers the path, that is when it isn't so great
Water makes path, making it tricky to cross.
Those of you with a high acrobatics level and a decent amount of curiosity will find the cozy cave club quite an interesting locale. I'll give you a hint: take the stone stairs down from the high meadow and you'll find the front door wide open for you! This place is gorgeous, I could go there every day. I'm a photographer so I notice other photographers and check out their gear when I see them. I see a LOT of other photographers, professional ones, Photographers who get paid for things like taking senior pictures and wedding photos! So you know if the paid photographers are over there, it's a pretty place! The water you see running in my pictures is not year round, it's the dry Sac river and it's dry for half the year. Regardless of what time you go there, the place is gorgeous, with or without water. There's a place where the water has cut channels through the bedrock and some of these are 4 ft deep and more and when they're dry it's just amazing to look at you can walk through them like a maze! When the water's running, it looks like a fish tank. The water is crystal clear and beautiful. If I haven't convinced you to go, I don't think anybody will; oh well, your loss!
One of my favorite little spots in North Springfield, Caves, Natural Arch's and the Cozy Cave Club if you know where to look.
This place starts with picnic tables and then wanders off with two trails that cross the river/stream. Some nice views and slippery shallow river crossings. Worth visiting.
Nice place to wander around and explore. Paved trails and creek crossings. Adventures await!
I was there around 2pm on Friday, the park was like an abandoned park, look creepy to me so I left.
