Leasing agents can never be reached. No one returns your calls and/or responds to emails. I’ve been calling for over a week. They call you once for the security deposit. Company deserves a zero.

Do not apply for anything on this site. They allow way to many people to apply for one house they do not refund 50 dollar app fee or money they charge you to tour homes. You will loose all your money trying to rent a home through this company!

I applied at this company for a home we lost because these workers don't understand what is being said. We have a vash HUD choice voucher it's for veterans even out VA Rep tried to talk with someone and nothing. When we applied the prime person on the voucher wasn't listed first but they had a copy of our voucher uploaded. They could see that we had no clue that would be the only person they run when you have a voucher. They denied us but won't run the proper person's name that needs to be ran they don't call you back all they can say is redo your application and repay the app fee but since everyone's email address is been already given we can not repapply for a home and they refused to run her name so still homes and 200$ gone that we we are out of and still no call back nothing what a waste and way to rip people off. You guys don't look too good to some veterans who are trying to get help and a home for their families.

Danielle and Gale are awesome. Very attentive and helpful. Communication goes a long way and they both provided that.

Main Street associates were attentive and answered the phone swiftly. The application process was painless and fast. I definitely recommend them.

I don’t even know where to start with explaining the issues we have had with this company. For starters our utilities are separate from our rent. Everything is in our name & registered to us. All documentation was submitted showing the transfer of utilities. We moved into our rental in July & since August we have had utility charges added to our bill. I have tried contacting MSR multiple times in multiple different ways. They say the issue is being looked in to & I NEVER receive a follow up. Good luck trying to contact through email or the resident portal, I have unopened emails/requests from December! They never respond back & it’s hard to call because I have work during their business hours. Recently at least 5 utility charges have been added to our account within the span of 5 minutes. Currently we have an extra charge of around $350. We refuse to give this company any money other than what was agreed upon in our lease agreement. Fortunately, these charges haven't been according late fees. Furthermore, I’m not sure as to how they are getting a utility bill for the property when it’s in our name & getting sent to us. This company is seeming more & more like a scam. I’ve looked into other reviews & seen MANY people have had similar issues. Usually they end up having to file a formal report/complaint to get anything done. Save yourself the headache & run as far away from these people as you can!

Edit: Seems I can't reply to reviews, but its been about a week & a half since the reply below from MSR. They said they had informed their management team & utility team about my issue & someone would be in contact with me.
Per usual, I have yet to hear anything back & doubt I will. The charges are still present on my account. This, is what this company does. If you manage to get to talk to anyone about your issues, they make promises about follows up & you never hear back. Furthermore, they say the issue is being delt with, but its never fixed. I'm not sure what's really going on in their offices, but seems they could care less about their residents' issues & doing any work. As I said before, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!

Absolutely terrible to work with. We purchased a home from Main Street Renewal that had been sitting vacant for 6+ months. The home was beautiful, but working with their organization is fighting an uphill battle. We met our expectations at every step, bent over backwards to ensure we kept everything on track. They responded to our inspection request multiple days after the inspection request deadline (they had a week to review), saying they would complete the work but with their own contractors. Instead of proposing an amendment, they signed our inspection request and became legally liable to complete the work with our contractors. They will only work with certain contractors, so instead of letting us know and finding a solution they simply did nothing to schedule that work or resolve the issue. It worked out in the end as they had to satisfy the contract, and in the end they ended up escrowing the funding for our contractors - but this work was agreed to be complete by closing and is now something we need to take our own time and energy to have done when it was agreed upon already. We closed over 2.5 weeks after initial close date agreement and needed to be extremely actively involved to ensure closure, because of their disorganization and lack of communication alone and nothing else. Their process for selling homes is terrible and needs a massive overhaul. I would not recommend trying to purchase from them unless you have significant time and energy to spare to ensure they fulfil their end of the contract or unless they completely revamp their structure/policies/communication.

EDIT (Reply to response from the owner) : This deal has closed and I have no interest in working further with this company given my experience. I provided similar feedback throughout the process and again am providing it here for your knowledge to do as you please with, and for the knowledge of other potential customers that might be frustrated working with an unresponsive company. You responded faster to this negative review than we received any response in regard to our contract. I had to escalate the issue about three times through the chain to get any reply at all, and my realtor was essentially ignored repeatedly.

Very unproffesional. Took well over two months to be able to have any information on moving into the home we already payed for. No one had answers and/or steps to be able to make to get any information. Moved in for roughly a week now and still barely have any communication about the house or code we need to log into the resident portal.

I give Main Street renewal 0 stars do not apply to them they will waist your time I applied and was approved for home but first the inspector was supposed to come and inspect the home and someone had to be there but due to bad communication they never scheduled inspection and canceled my application said it was over the 30 days mind you this is ongoing for 2 full months now so they told me to reapply for the 3rd time to a different home or the same home even though they raised the rent immediately after canceling my application to home and so I did because at this point I’m homeless and after applying again they denied my application after approving me twice now me and my kids are homeless because we moved out the house to live in the new home the beginning of the month Main Street leasing agents have not responded to any emails or phone calls that I requested since been approved they don’t care the predicament they put me in and now I have to look other places for me and my kids to go because now the denied my third application

Can't get a live person on the phone. I'm trying to talk to an agent about my buyer purchasing a home they have for sale.

0 stars=This place is beyond unprofessional! They do terrible quick rehab jobs and then make it impossible to get a hold of someone for help. Based on the other reviews here - seems that is their reputation. It is not ok to treat people like this. I will be contacting the BBB and getting a lawyer - you guys are slumlords and it's disgusting how you treat your residents. I wish someone would have warned me so I'm writing to warn others - DO NOT RENT FROM MAIN STREET RENEWAL - IT'S A SCAM!

This was the smoothest and easiest process to apply for our new home! And everyone that we talked to and dealt with were incredibly kind. As long as we are renting, we will be sticking with them

This was a long process but well worth it. Julie went above and beyond to get me and my girls a place to call home and I truly appreciate all her hard work to get us in as fast as possible. Thank you so much!

Horrible experience! Against my better judgment I decided to give this company a chance even though it had poor reviews. Well needless to say I experienced some of the same issues of other applicants. It is very difficult to speak with someone directly which results in you giving the run around. They are taking your application fee without providing you with status updates or next steps. This company is a complete rip off. The reviews are on point and helpful if you take heed. Please save yourself a headache, time & money. Stay away from Main Street Renewal.
