Called to make a one night reservation for my friend and I. Senior adults -got pricing a $127 plus tax and a $17 hotel fee. And I asked what that was for and she said. Well, that includes the Wi-Fi coffee, your towels. I'd never heard of such nonsense. And I've worked at hotels's management. You don't charge for towels and coffee and Wi-Fi that's included in the amenities of the hotel room price! And then she tells me there is an indoor pool and hot tub to use for customer guest and there is also a water park and it's separate, but it has a hot tub from What I've been told by several representatives over there that you can pay to get in an extra 20 for guest or 25 for non guest and go in and use it. And it's got water slides and so I asked about that she said no "There is no hot tub in the water park. ". I hung up I called back to verify with another representative. They're on property that. Yes, there is a hot tub in the water park. And you can use it for a fee. Whether you're a guest or not. You pay a fee -Friday Saturday and Sunday. So, this clerk, she doesn't know what she's talking about. She needs some training in my opinion Because that's poor customer service -she give me inaccurate information -the owner Should step up to the plate and correct this matter because I will advertise For this establishment. I question if they know the difference between a hot tub and a whirlpool!

ANOTHER BROKE ELEVATOR STORY
Reviews show this is common

The room was ok. No guide on the incredibly slow TV. No bathroom Fan. But my biggest issue was the wheelchair accessibility. I’m currently a guest in a wheelchair and the ELEVATOR was down to get me down to breakfast. With it being 8degrees outside that wasn’t an option.

I was first told the directions to get to breakfast. Then the manage yells as I’m on my way “come back” and she proceeds to tell me that there is an elevator down… so I waited for a solution but there was none. It was kinda just like… “hey one of the elevators is down so your SOL no you figure out your own breakfast. ” I was very disappointed.

I’ve stayed here three times and have been pleased each time. The buildings are in need of some remodeling/updating (hence the 4star), but the rooms are always well-serviced and smell fresh. The service is *excellent* and there are many family-friendly activities. Definitely a great vacation spot that is not-too-terribly expensive for the average family. Be aware that water park admission is SEPARATE from hotel booking. You don’t get passes as a hotel guest, unfortunately—I missed the memo on that and was surprised with a $80 price tag for all of mine to swim.

My child was assaulted by another preteen child, at the waterpark. Ben, the waterpark staff member on site, was great and listened to our concerns. The head of security did nothing and instead wanted my child to "talk it out" with the other child. We asked the other family to be removed, for everyone's safety, as the adults thought that fighting was okay, and we did not want violence to escalate even further. We were then removed by security, likely in an attempt to keep other patrons from hearing and seeing what happened. Michael from Guest Experiences gave us some compensation to try to salvaged a Christmas present that turned into a tramautic experience. I look forward to hearing from the owner more about their plans to keep customers safe.

6am woken up from workers dropping something in hallway 645 laying in bed I can hear people walking in room above me. I'm on vacation this place has no insulated walls or ceilings. Beautiful on outside old and smells weird inside floors creek and uneven. As I write this the fire alarms just went off. Lmao guess it's time to get out of bed

Stayed for our 30th wedding anniversary and the place was so overpriced for what was offered. The rooms need updating, the water park is overpriced, only one restaurant is open with awful food. As we paid for our stay, the person at the front desk didn’t even thank us for staying with them. It is a shame as we choose this resort for our 30th wedding anniversary to be so disappointed! I love this resort. Everyone is friendly and willing to help when needed. Rooms are always clean and comfortable.

The bartenders know how to make a pretty good Old Fashioned. They have an excellent selection of Bourbon as well.

Girl's weekend every fall and have been visiting the spa for the past 3 years. They are very professional and I have enjoyed the massage every year.

I’ve stayed here many times but this was my first time staying in the suites. Great space just for me. They checked in on me via text to make sure everything was okay. Nice room and bathroom. Beautiful site and good location. Water is pretty and lots of cool things to do.

Not impressed. Very average and rooms are nothing fancy. Parking garage is tiny and most trucks cannot fit.

Let me start by saying service is immaculate, everyone working here deserves a livable wage of $25+ and if they're not earning that they should. The rooms are quite good, I'm knocking off two stars because anytime I wipe a beverage off the floor of my room the paper towel comes grey/black. Nothing new for a hotel room, but the other star is for the wifi. I literally was given a wifi password and after spending 1 night on my first morning the wifi hasn't worked since and I've had to rely on cellular data for anything. Location isn't bad, it's still 15 minutes to the nearest Walmart so of course drinks and food are overpriced. Word to the wise? The breakfast buffet at one of the only two breakfast places on site, it's $18.99 PER ADULT. I admit I'm not the most traveled person, but even in my 30 years I'd say most hotels or resorts I've been to offer free breakfast buffet. This place has everything.but they overcharge for EVERYTHING. Again, the staff is amazing and kind and accommodating, 10/5 stars for staff all around. But cleanliness? Not great (I blame the lack of good pay/maybe bad hygiene practices, not the staff). Wifi capabilities? Terrible. Cell reception? Spotty at best. My conclusion? Find a cute bed and breakfast or rent a cabin. This place ain't worth the money even for "convenience. " Oh, and their fanciest restaurant on the property? No A/C inside, or perhaps I went there on a day the A/C was broken.

Edit: I will not be back. It genuinely doesn't help that some most likely underpaid person has to respond to each of the resort's poor reviews saying something akin to "if you come back we'll make sure it's much better! " But I doubt it will be better. I didn't like how there weren't signs or notices telling people not to feed the ducks or geese. I didn't like how dirty my hotel room actually was. I didn't like how me and my family were squeezed out of every penny we had just to have a simple breakfast. I'm not a big eater in the morning nor is most of my family. $18.99 per adult at the breakfast buffet when most of the adults in the party aren't big eaters just does not make any sense. Again, this is a management/deeper issue than any of the kind staff who actually assisted us during our stay. It also feels like the facilities could use better maintenance! The bridge between where I stayed and the main lobby had buckets catching leaks, between the main lobby and the shops and restaurants seemed to have the same inefficient cooling systems they had practically 20 years ago!

This is the second time I've stayed here this year and my room this time was not as updated and seemed a bit run down. The service is always wonderful. The location was perfect. The grounds are gorgeous. Disappointed only one restaurant was open. The chicken strips were good and plentiful. Would have liked to had more options for food in the off season. Still a fun work retreat.

I only rate one star because there is no option for zero stars. I bet it was cool in the 1950’s.

One night stay. Price was not the same as advertised online, double of what was expected with no additional amenities offered. No elevator in the building. Each set of stairs were built at different heights. Room was ok. Pull out bed was covered in bread crumbs, no bedding available for pull out until requested. Don’t plan to return. Definitely not worth the cost.

We had a great time here! We don't have young children but there are so many fun things to do if you do. I am considering coming back with my grand daughter!
