Mary Jane bourbon + smokehouse

I came to Missouri to serve in a women's conference and help with music. I was taken to Mary Jane. It was church 2.0. I didn't leave the same way I walked in. They had me try the brisket wontons, the queso dip, the butter jalapeño cornbread, the Trinity plate, the street corn and even the two pickles that come with the Trinity plate. I love California, but after having tried this place, OC's food sucks compared to this. This place is a must if you are a food lover. More than that, the service is spectacular. Phil and Emma, you made my experience memorable. If you eat here, ask for Phil or Emma. They will take very good care of you. I will be flying back to come eat here. Don't smile that much Phil, I'll still unleash my sarcasm on you homie!

Update 1/19- came back after a year. STILL SO GOOD! Again. Eat here, or I won't be your friend.

As Appetizers we got the Carolina Nachos and the Potato skins. The Nachos were better than the potato skins, but but were really good. Then for dinner we each got the Smoked Trinity. They were already out of certain meats, so ours consisted of pulled pork, the trash ribs, and smoked sausage. We each added the brisket. All of the meat was cooked to perfection! The flavor was great! For sides, after trying the french fries, kettle chips, mashed potatoes, and hash, we would totally order the french fries and mashed potatoes again. The Maple Old Fashioned, while one of their brunch "cocktails, " can be ordered for dinner and it is pretty great! This place has a nice bar area, friendly servers, and a great atmosphere. We will be back!

Service is always great for us. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is very good. We love the wings and bbq or burgers. I really like the Caesar Salad. Great appetizers available. Good brews as well as mix drinks.

Overall was a good experience. Food was good, albeit a little expensive. Server was top tier. But this place could use a little updating and have a changing station in their bathroom.

Recommended by a passer-by in town and I was impressed! I didn’t think they would have good options for breakfast but I was blown away by choices and the flavors. Food can’t quick too. Will be back next time in we are in town.

I am a fan of the Mary Jane's in Perryville and I really wanted to love this place. I'm leaving this review in hopes of providing some constructive feedback.

Admittedly, I am probably not the targeted demographic as I don't drink and I took my kids here for lunch. The food was decent (pulled chicken was slightly dry but the slaw was amazing) but be aware that the items on the kids menu (which I reviewed ahead of time) sound "normal" but in reality are a bit of a stretch for the littles.and it's a bummer to pay $9 a kid and have them only eat fries (even if they are the "best fries in the world" according to my son).

The biggest disappointment (especially compared to the original Mary Janes) is that the service here is slightly indifferent/inattentive and just timely enough not to be called excruciatingly slow. You'd better know what you want to eat when you walk in and don't expect quick refills. (If I'd just been here to socialize with friends and not on a timeline maybe this wouldn't have been as much of an issue.) I really think they just needed another person working - and that's a common challenge these days. Also the tables could have been cleaner - especially considering they hadn't been open that long when we arrived.

With friendly, fast service the vibe of the place would have been great, and some of the other slight issues would not have been so apparent.

Had a great smoked brisket to die for. I had a memorable lunch with my mother here recently and the service is always great.

This place was really, really good. Tasty food and loved the vibe. I'm not really a whisky gal, but I tried one of their mixed drinks and it was so good I ordered a second. We had a party of 8 and everyone was happy with their meal and appetizer.

Packed and full of happy faces! This place lived up to its reputation. The place was beautiful and so lively. Everything was done to perfection. You can tell the cooks in the back took their time to prepare the perfect dish for you.
I ordered “The MJ Burger. ”
The burger had their own homemade sauce which made the burger taste spectacular!
For my side of sauce, they gave me “Carolina Mustard BBQ. ” This sauce tasted like a mix between BBQ and honey mustard.

The food is overpriced, in my opinion. We sat at the bar, and the service was good. It's very crowded on Sunday. For my first time there, I would recommend the brisket. The menu online is not accurate.

Good food, great service, nice atmosphere. Would come back if I were in the area, but would probably try a few other places first (this is the only restaurant we tried on our camping trip)

My very 1st time here, I heard the wings were great. The wings I was served were burnt to a crisp. The bartender working actually brought those to us to eat. I am not going back.

Ate at restaurant Thursday for lunch since I had a meeting to attend and wanted something to eat. Ordered a double hamburger, no fries. Meat was bland and dry. Bun was sour dough which did not compliment the meat. Sorry.
