Ma's Place reviews
18Great breakfast with tons of choices. Large portions that were really tasty. Omelets and pancakes were awesome!
Best bacon cheeseburger I've had in ages. My friend had the carrot cake and said it was fantastic.
Ordered breakfast.
Finding a good place to eat a sit down breakfast is difficult.
But today we found a Hidden gem at Ma's Place in Kimberling City, MO.
WOW.
Buttery fried eggs, fried country ham steak, golden hash browns and a huge waffle.
EVERYTHING was outstanding.
The
Food is delicious!
Extremely possible you might catch he'd bugs eating here. Not a joke, very serious. Food containers don't get flipped every shift like they should, this causes moisture and bacteria to build up in the food and can possibly give you food poisoning also they're over prepped 7 days an advance meaning by the time you get your food it's been sitting and prepped for 7 days. This is pushing the food way to far and can also cause food poisoning. Also want to mention the own shorts checks. They have to be paying off the health inspector and this place very seriously need to be inspected properly.
To go order for 2, large breakfast. Delicious, hot food. Enough for 2 meals, for us. A good bargain for the inflation that has been bestowed upon all of us. Ma's is consistently good.
Live local and have given this restaurant 3 chances. Been disappointed each time. Never going back and often tell my friends to avoid this place.
Had the BBQ meals along with a couple of huge pieces of carrot cake. So delicious! Brought home most of the food. Large portions and great prices
Wow. We stopped here on our way to Table Rock Lake. Based on the pictures of the menu, I figured they'd have food for everyone in our group. We were greeted by our waitress, Jenny, with a big smile and shown to our table. She was quick to get everyone their drinks while we looked over the menu. My mother in law got the Sloppy Joe, which was the special of the day, and she said it was great. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and almost finished the whole thing - which is a lot compared to her normally eating half or less of her meal. My oldest son got the cheeseburger and said it was almost better than his favorite burger from a spot at home (shot out to Buck's in Venice, NE). My youngest got the chicken tenders and I got the fried chicken sandwich. I'm not sure what they're doing at Ma's with their chicken, but I hope they never change a thing. The breading was light but crunchy and the chicken was juicy. My youngest is quite the picky eater but he devoured his food. He wants to go back and try the fried chicken dinner. Jenny checked in multiple times during our meal to make sure drinks were topped off and to see if there was anything else she could do. She even got to talking about fishing with my kids, who were excited about hitting the lake for some fishing. This is a fantastic little greasy spoon spot and I hope we make it back sometime to try the breakfast.
The waitress was friendly and attentive. The food was ok. My burger was too salty, but the home fries were good and the gravy is excellent. Would try again for breakfast not lunch.
Great breakfast. Blueberry pancakes and hot syrup.yumm.omelets are great too! Super friendly staff family friendly place to enjoy a home cooked meal!
Food was not very good. Our waitress was friendly and courteous but the gentleman that seated us was grumpy and put out. Prices were pretty high too. Think I’ll pass next time in town.
Great staff. Hiring now always full based on what I was told by waitress who was very attentive with over 40 ppl in loc. Kid friendly bring cash and beautiful bathrooms. Call ahead, not good coffee for my preferred. Taste But to ea their own. Check it out. And. Parking may be issue the later u arrive good eats, ppl, loc
The waitress was perfect and the Biscuits and gravy some of the best I’ve ever had and that’s saying a lot!
Love the burnt ends. And the country fried steak is good, too. Friendly staff.did I mention the blueberry muffins? Just like grandma's.
We waited in the lobby for 10 minutes before someone approached us to seat pur party, one of the waitresses entered the waiting area and rudely told us and another party that there were no more tables, while we could see four empty tables in the dining room. The waitress stated this to us multiple times and didn't offer a lot ait time to be seated. She seed extremely frustrated that people were waiting to eat at the restaurant. The group that was also waiting and our group left immediately due to the rudeness of the waitress. We come to Kimberling City a lot during lake season and will never go back to this restaurant due to the behavior of the waitress.
Even after a slight hiccup in the kitchen, the amazing staff regrouped and got it done. Coffee was really good and food was just like Grandma's. Thank you all so much. Highly recommend!
Waited over an hour for our food, food was good but would of been nice to know that we were going to wait an hour for food. 3 other tables got up and left, poor poor management
