This company sends everyone to collections after 90 days. Didn't even get time to run completely through insurance. I informed her that the law states 180 days before they can send a medical bill to collections. She acted like she had never heard of the law. This lab is a joke.

Keep a copy of all medical records, bills, record phone calls and have a lawyer in your back pocket cause billing sucks. 5 phone calls in 2022 and they still FAILED to bill my insurance when I was fully insured and sent it to collection which I’m now being harassed by.

Absolutely terrible in the billing department. I have been hounded and sent to collections over a bill that was paid a very long time ago. I have called, I’ve talked to managers claiming it has been taken care of, but I continue to get the same bill and threatened with collections. The managers can’t be reached until after 8: 30 and leave by 3: 30. The lady I spoke to that wasn’t a manager wouldn’t listen to a word I was saying. She just kept demanding payment, even though I told her I sent proof of payment about 5 times. I never want to deal with them again.

I currently work for the company and I love working here. Wonderful environment helpful people.looking at these reviews the people are t reviewing the company they’re upset about billing etc which would have something to do with the insurance etc, wouldn’t be the company at fault we are also third party.

As others have noted, this company claims no access to any record from bills prior to October 22, claiming their third party billing firm severed the relationship and stopped answering calls. I sadly realized that due the the company spamming me with bills, I actually paid the bill not once, but twice, and still was sent to collections. I've never seen this level of bald-faced disregard for the rule of law surrounding billing and accountability to customers. God bless the sad people that staff their phone lines, having to answer for such a horribly irresponsible manner of how the company conducts business.

I recommend folks call their doctors offices whom contract this company and advise they sever the relationship.

I received a bill from MAWD pathology group. My EOB said "not medically necessary" which, in medical billing terms, means "Hey, we need medical records to justify why this additional test was ran. " I am a full time medical biller and AR specialist. I called MAWD and asked why they never appealed my claim and instead just dropped the claim to patient responsibility and the rep said that they "don't do that". MAWD Pathology outsources their medical billing to Change Healthcare (per the rep I spoke to) but only contracts Change Healthcare to do their billing and not their AR. AR is done upon "request". So PATIENTS ARE RECEIVING BILLS FOR COVERED SERVICES AND PAYING THEM WHEN ALL THAT IS NEEDED IS A DOCTORS NOTE! Do you really believe that sick and elderly people are going to REVIEW THEIR EOBs, CALL THEIR DOCTORS, FILE APPEALS to collect money owed by the insurance FOR a pathology group? MAWD Pathology does not pay me to work their AR. Never has a lab, doctors office, surgeon, hospital EVER made ME submit an appeal on my own behalf! And I have NEVER had a patient for the agencies I bill for submit an appeal. If I (the agency) want to get paid, I better submit that appeal.

I'm with Phil and also enjoyed working with the company. Many helpful co-workers and higher staff to help you achieve success. I was in billing and unfortunately had to deal with Change as our third party biller (huge migraine and like pulling teeth to get them to update patient information). Many mistakes made on their end. When I left they had been in the process of going in house. Hope they are able to asap. I feel this would alleviate many angry patients.

Im not sure why this hasn't been done yet but if every person here writes a one line email to BBB, this ring of fraud between this lab and the physicians who do business with these people knowing by now how they operate as well as the collecting agency should get investigated. I will write a negative review for my doctor as well mentioning the lab name as the reason for why they will loss bussiness hopping they will cut these people out. This should make a good news report for local channel as well.

I would give ZERO starts if that was an option. Billing department is a complete catastrophe. Billing was incorrect, upon contacting customer service I was told an inquiry would be opened. I only received a new bill with the exact same issue. I changed tactics and began working through the insurance company who also could not get through the billing people's heads that the bill was incorrect. I mailed in documentation and a breakdown of the issue and what needed to happen to resolve on two occasions. Only to repeatedly receive the same bill over and over again. This place needs to get their act together. It is inexcusable to provide such poor service.

I inquired why my procedure wasn’t sent to my insurance. They reassured they would send it in to them and expect to hear back with an update. Next thing I know, I check my mail and have been sent to collections… never been so disappointed with a company in my life.
