Max Speed & Sound, Kansas City MO

So I have now taken my third vehicle to max speed and sound. The first vehicle everything went smooth, second vehicle they hooked up my climate controls after installing a new head unit and my air conditioner stopped working the day after. I decided I would pay for it out of pocket and maybe that it was a fluke, but I’m thinking this is what they normally do. This is now my third vehicle and it is the worst service I’ve ever had. They broke the clip to my open my hood and tried to blame me for it and decided to put a piece of paper and a paper clip under it? We picked up the vehicle thinking that everything was done and good to go at this time did not notice the hood until today (a week later). ” After we picked up the vehicle after getting subwoofer amp and radio hooked up, the radio was not even working on the way home. I was told by one of the employees that it was shutting off as they were working on it and I simply stated why didn’t you say something to me during installation? And I had no answer. I stated I definitely would’ve bought a new one if that was happening I want everything to work inde u pay for it. Come to find out the owner verified it was a wiring issue and the head unit was just fine. I told them that I have a piece right above the radio now that’s not attached and it looks very unprofessional just hanging by itself and they said i brought it to them like that. You would think after not having a working radio they would stop lying at this point but I have a video showing that everything was intact prior to bringing them the vehicle and nothing was loose. If you want quality service and honest people I would not recommend coming here. Even after the air conditioner issue, I came back thinking they would do a better job maybe. They will blame you for things that clearly was their fault and the fact that we have proof of this and they still tried denying things is baffling. Chuck seems to be the most knowledgeable, but he and the rest of the workers I’m not sure if honesty and quality is what they provide anymore.

Been going to Max Speed & Sound for years and always been very very happy with my purchases from there. I am redoing my truck audio and again Chuck knocks it out of the park and also thank you TJ for making the brackets that I needed and also can't beat the prices best in the KCMO area thank you Max Speed & Sound and the crew keep up the awesome work!

The guys at the shop are very knowledgeable and helpful. If your car alarm is acting up or you need a new one don't hesitate to check them out.

Tried to get my windows tinted for my mother for her birthday I called a hour prior to confirm the appointment spoke to the manager that’s confirmed the appointment after driving a hour away to get her surprised window tint done they told me once I arrived they didn’t have time for me and to try again next week so I wasted my and my moms gas driving a hours away after confirming the appointment a hour prior that they couldn’t do her birthday surprise window tint so meaning the surprise for her birthday was wasting her time and gas happy birthday mom thanks max speed and sound you really pulled through with this one and the man at the front desk once checking in with glasses and king her I appreciate your attitude and nonchalant attitude on the trip I mad all the way out of my way to get there and be canceled might have been racist once realizing I’m African American women of color never would recommend unless you want to waste your time and money!
