McAlister's Deli, Bridgeton MO

OMG, what is the problem with this restaurant and butter. I've asked for extra butter and got NONE (again). This is standard. Getting butter out of this place for a baked potato is virtually impossible.

Four people at the counter running over top of each other. Hehe/haha-ing while there’s a 40 minute wait for food. One young lady with her hands constantly in her mouth while preparing orders to go.

This location has problems. We will not be going here any more. I used the app to order and we picked it up. I ordered a large chili and got half of the Chili in the container. My husband ordered a pick two with a cup of chili and a half sandwich. He also got a half container (1/2 cup) of chili. Inside of the restaurant they were turning away anyone that came for dine in and told them come back in a half hour. The to go orders were stacked up and the girls at the counter just kind of stood around not handing out the orders that were already made and bagged up. This has happened here before but we always got our order not partial containers of food.

We used to really enjoy this location because the food has always been delicious, but over the past few months the service has taken a hit. I’m all for understanding that sometimes days are understaffed, but the last three times have been more than that. We’ve ordered online, dine-in, and in person to go and each order has taken AT LEAST 50 mins to get to us when no one else has been in the restaurant. We consistently see 3-4 employees moving at such a casual space while, who seems to be the manager, doing double or triple duty to get our orders together. After waiting another 50 mins last night for a BLT and Mac&cheese, we decided to stop going. The second star is for the food because it’s always been yummy, but we can’t keep waiting an hour for a sandwich.

My Family and I are very frequent customers of McAlister @ the N. Lindbergh location due to it beimg by my home. I have visited the St Charles Rk. Rd location twice, since I started a new job over in this area. I visited yesterday during lunch and there was a young lady up front packaging the food as I came up, talking all loud and constantly saying, " I am not ghetto. " The Supervisor, who had a yellow/ orange shirt, (prepping food in the back) suggested VIP cards for customers who were waiting for a while. The same young lady, openly said, "We not giviing no VIP cards out today, they shouldve known it was gone be a wait. " She continued to be loud as I waited for my food, standing up there cursing as the Supervisor whispered to her, "I have taught you better than this. " All while she was packing the food for customers she was being very loud and "ghetto. " The Supervisor instructed her to bag someones soup and again, all loud, unprofessional and "ghetto" she questioned, "why did she need to put it in a bag? " This young lady doesnt need to be up front or dealing with anyone's food for that matter, with her behavior and how she feel about the customers. If she openly/publicly has to express her complaints with how she must provide customer service as a McCalister Employee, just maybe she doesn't need to be one or not dealing with the public altogether.

Kept telling me a couple orders ahead of me, so far, I’ve been waiting about an hour as people who order after me get their food.

After waiting 15 minutes for my sloppy sandwich…and even tipping, I get to my car and see how she spelled my name. My name is Tenika. I often have people spell my name Taneka, Tamika. I don’t usually care but the fact that the young lady was also African American and chose to completely misspell my name on purpose, is actually offensive. She was trying to let me know my name is ghetto so she spelled it like this. Plain and simple. Young lady with the dreads needs a lesson on what’s appropriate work humor & what’s not

“Taniuqa” im sure she has never in her life seen anyones name spelled that way.went out of her way to be rude for no reason at all and if her brain was that scrambled then she could have just asked me. Seems small but we all know what she meant so it’s not small. She also told me she couldn’t tell me what type of salad they offer until I chose a sandwich. She was just rude the entire time now tht I replay the interaction.

This is one of the worst locations of McAlister ‘s deli in the greater St. Louis area. The customer service is horrendous and so avoid this restaurant at all costs. After complaining to the upper management, their attitude is equally as bad as the staff. Don’t spend your hard earned money at this chain and go some place else.

I have very horrible experience with this place of business. My wait was over 30 minutes and I order online 30 minutes prior also the portion of the soup was very small to point I should have got a small. I will never return

Ordered a BLT and Avacado, no mayo. Got burnt bacon bits, there’s clearly mayo on it and no avacado. I tossed this in the trash, because it was so inedible. This place ALWAYS has issues, when I order, but I chalk it up to ticket reading. However, I’m done ordering from here, it’s by far the worst McAlisters I’ve ever dealt with.

Terrible service. The kid initially said he was giving the a brownie for free so I tipped him then noticed on the receipt that he charged me. He also asked if I wanted a pickle and then forgot the pickle. The restaurant was also in shambles and it looked like he had broken some dishes.

I will not be going back to this location. Staff was rude! I didn't appreciate that at all!

I've driven by this place for years finally decided to give them a shot. Pleasantly surprised very good sandwiches I will be back.

I asked for my McAlister's club to have honey mustard on side, it was on club. Ordered a slice of carrot cake to go it came on plate, I was asked if server could just bring a box.
When I went to the counter to get a bag I saw a young lady on the cooks line chewing gum opened mouth and blow and pop a bubble. I asked for a manager and she said "so" to my telling her about the young lady an said she would talk to her.

Got pickup. I was given incorrect food, the item on the bottom was the wrong sandwich. When I called to have the wrong part of the order refunded I was asked to call back the next day as they were to busy to help with me. Don't bother.

Food is usually really good haven't had issues with food. The issues are always they forget something. Especially with door dash deliveries. And it's not a small thing usually it's a large drink or two, or my child's Mac and cheese, or the bag of chips that come with it or our dessert. Even when I've walked in I have to check my bag and caught them missing something. I do love their food so I continually order from here, but they employees do not care If they forget stuff. Poor service is all I can say. On the good side the management usually refunds or makes up for it. Try explaining that to a 7 year old who wanted mac and cheese. Ordered this past week and again items missing, and they hung up on me while telling them items were missing. So looks like I'll be moving on to a better service. Eventually missing items gets old, no matter the food.

Although the sandwich I had was pretty good, the quality of the lettuce that is provided as part of the salad was not acceptable. Having completely spoiled and / or rotting lettuce mixed in the salad can result in people getting very sick. Now if this were a one time thing, I might have been understanding to this being a simple mixup. This has happened the last 2 times I have also been here over the span of the past 2 months. I have no idea how this continues to pass health And safety inspections. Until they start following proper procedures for maintaining leaf greens, I cannot recommend anyone to eat at this location in an effort to protect the health of the general public.

In addition to the health issue identified above, it took nearly 30 minutes to get my food and there was a total of 4 people in the restaurant when I placed my order. This should have been 10 minutes max.

And to provide a fair objective opinion, I regularly frequent the McAlister’s in Wentzville. I have never had an issue with the salads or food at that location so it should not be a lettuce quality / distribution problem for the chain and the service there is very quick. I’m not sure what issues are going on at this particular location, but it is putting public health in jeopardy.

I love McAllisters, not common where I am from but when I make business trips I check to see if one is nearby because I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the Chicken Tortilla Soup

This location has an awesome friendly staff who just loved to chat with you and make you feel welcome. I went about 2 hours before closing so it wasn't really busy and I was able to sit in peace, enjoy my soup and club sammich, and have a nice chat with the staff.

We go there every month when it's military weekend and we have lunch there the food is very good I love it and the staff is very courteous.

Well I'm in the military and we go there for lunch every drill weekend because our food is contracted and the staff is very friendly and courteous and always in good spirit thank you for your service.
