I came to this Meineke location to get a smoke test because my service engine light kept coming on and off with an EVAP code after I changed the gas cap on my Pathfinder. Derrick the store manager was very pleasant his personality did not change he treated everyone that came into the shop or called with the same courtesy and respect. It was very noticeable that an older lady complimented him on it and I couldn’t agree with her more. The mechanic who did the smoke test also had a pleasant personality I like that he came and got me from the waiting area to explain to me what was going on with my SUV and he showed me the part that was going bad because of the good interaction with them I decided to let Meineke replace my fuel evaporative canister (vapor canister and vapor canister vent solenoid). The only reason why I’m giving them 4 stars is because I was there for a long time about 6 hours. I was told that the work would be done in 2 hours, but it wasn’t completed until another 4 hours later. During my checkout I was told that they were having difficulty with getting the parts was the reason for the long wait. Even though I’m a laid back person this should have been communicated to me before checkout. Other than the lack of communication with getting updates on the work and the work was being done by the time they told me it appears the work was done correctly.
Pick my truck up and drove it home for it to stop again. They never fix the problem, so it's back there now.
When I tell U from the time I walked in for my brakes to be inspected for defects, until my brakes, rotor, caliper, hose, & brake fluid flush My EXPERIENCE WAS AWESOME! Now this is something I have NOT experienced with other auto repair shops lately. MOST ARE DISHONEST & FULL OF GREED & TAKE ADVANTAGE OF WOMEN in "my humblest opinion".
The employee who made this a 5️ experience is Derrick/Derek he provided EXCEPTIONAL customer service from walk-in til pick up I don't know if he's the Manager or his title, but if he's not HE NEEDS TO BE & GREAT Customer Service is seldom displayed by American workers anymore. I live out of state, but from this one visit I PROMISE I WILL THINK OF MEINEKE FOR ALL FUTURE SERVICE on both my vehicles. I hope Indianapolis locations are as friendly an honest as this location St. Louis/New Hallsferry Rd was
