My husband had to have a surgical procedure.
All of the nurses, the admitting and doctor are very friendly and informative.

Mercy has assembled a world class team in St. Louis. Everyone from the surgeons, doctors, NP’s, RN’s and Techs understand the mission and their part in it. As a result the professionalism, technology and patient care are world class - just like their providers. Highly recommended for heart and vascular health care!

Absolutely loved this hospital! Worked on the SPCU unit with amazing management and coworkers! Patients always had good things to say about this unit!

Very professional and thorough. I was there for cardio cath. The hospital side is in disarray through no fault of the floor staff. Management of this hospital and in turn patient care has plummeted. For the past decade I have been admitted for congestive heart failure at least once a year. I always felt relief when I was entered into care but not anymore. I dread being admitted after my last two admissions. The mismanagement of mercy has forced me to delay treatment of my cardiac issues.

My wife is currently in the heart hospital with COVID patients on the same floor. They are not in one area but scattered around, that's ridiculous. My wife is right next door to a COVID patient. The same nurses and assistants that take care of my wife and others have to take care of COVID patients too. Never should this happen! That's insane! Weekends are ridiculous. Not near enough nurses and very few doctors to be found.
Update. Today is Monday. Nothing has gotten any better. My wife also has asthma and needs an inhaler. While she was eating breakfast at 8: 30 the lady that was supposed to give her the inhaler treatment seen that she was eating breakfast and said she would be back. As of now, that was 2 and a half hours ago. RIDICULOUS! Not one doctor either. Not enough staffing. She wants to and needs to walk, NOBODY!
My wife needs to have her blood tested every 6 hours. 2 hours late the young man came in. He said that he was the only one here today to draw blood. He has 40 people on his schedule.
Today is Tuesday. My wife hasn't been given a bath in 2 days now. Hasn't been offered a hair brush or a toothbrush. After pushing the call button for the restroom, it was a 30 minute wait before someone came. Psyical therapy hasn't been in since Saturday. She needs to and wants to walk, NOTHING. People come to the hospital to get better, they need better care than this.
