Mexican Villa South, Springfield MO

Service was okay.waitress seemed a little cool. Foods was okay.not authentic Mexican cooking and the price was a bit on the high side for what was served.salsa out of a jar, overcooked tortilla chips.

We went in at 6: 00 on a Tuesday night with 3 adults and 3 children. They told us it would take 10 minutes to get us a table. I don’t know why it would take so long because there weren’t many patrons there. We left and went to Mexican Villa West and got right in.

The food is like always. Everyone loves mexican villa.
However, our server, Scott, was just such a joy. He was funny and super sweet. I will definitely request him as my server if he is working next time I return.
Everyone should have such a personality such as his. Makes for such a wonder enjoyable visit.

Came during lunch. 20 min in, we still had no drinks. 45 min in, we had not placed our order. After waiting another 30 min after out order was placed, and still had recived no food. We decided to leave, and were told to wait at the front for our tickets.after ANOTHER 10 min, the waitress came all the way to the front door with our food and said "What? You don't want this food? " To which we replied "We already said we don't want it, we are waiting on the ticket" The waitress came back after this, just to say "If you had ordered sooner I would have got your food out too you. " To which we replied again "We were waiting on you.: unprofessional, and won't be back to this location.

What in the world did I just eat? I feel bad for the people that go there, and think that’s what Mexican food suppose to taste like poor people.

Great food although I've been told it's not real authentic mexican food but i like it anyway. Plenty of room inside. Don't let a full parking lot throw you.

So not worth it. The chips and salsa was gross. The hot salsa was even more nasty. The service was awful. When I asked for a dressed beer it was brought to me in a cup with ice.
