Mid-Continent Public Library - Raytown Branch reviews
7For Raytown being such a small town, I really wasn't expecting that it'd have a nice library. Also, with it being in walking distance to my place, it makes having to utilize the library that much easier, and with how nice this location is, just extra icing on the cake lol
What a fantastic place! Really great remodel makes it so easy to find materials. Really helpful and friendly staff. Clean and cool.
I’ve never had an experience quite like today. It has always been a little rough at story times here, the teachers seem upset or annoyed most of the time and barely interested in our children. I have tried to stay true to this location because it’s closest to our home, but no more. Today my child wasn’t being patient, I do completely understand, but had asked for the color blue, the teacher waited until she had given all the kids theirs and then she handed a green one to my child. Of course my four year old who is learning how to deal with emotions flipped out, we left because of her behavior. Of course she had no right to throw a fit, but the teacher heard her asking for blue the whole time and on top of that, my little girl was wearing all blue… come on! I totally understand my child throwing a fit is not ok, but to watch an adult deliberately give her green when she most definitely asked for blue and then not switch it, that shook me just the same as my child throwing a fit.
Excellent resource for making copies or faxing documents. You will need to have a debit/credit card to cover the cost. (For faxing, they will charge $1.75 for the 1st page and $1.00 each additional page. The fax machine will give you easy voice prompts to follow in order to complete the process. I found this all to be very convenient. The cost is a little high, in my opinion, but other than that, it is a seemless, easy process. You will receive a confirmation text once the fax is sent. This can take up to 60 minutes to receive via text message. It took me 5 minutes.
The location is clean, effectively staffed, and in a great location next to the high school. Computers/internet are provided as well as a huge selection of books, magazines and other literature. Great local branch! Check them out!

I always have a good experience here. In fact 2 days ago I had a very helpful library associate help me find books and put several on hold. I always get exceptionally friendly customer service at the library… but today MADE MY DAY. I came into the library hoping to figure out some type of contraption to mail my finger prints for teacher licensure. They’re almost a whole sheet of paper and cannot be folded. WELL the friendly genius Cindy at the desk saved my day. I asked or a couple sheets of paper and she went above and beyond to give me a couple recycled manilla folders to repurpose. She made my problem her own and solved it better than I could have hoped for. THANK YOU Cindy! You’re a light and a perfect fit for a library where everyone comes for all types of resources. I’m grateful to have a beautiful library with great staff here in raytown.
