Midway Auto Parts reviews
21Called INS today after finding out Olivia was not here legally and this place gives their employment. I wonder how many more their employees are illegal. Just an opinion. I wonder how many illegal things they are doing.
Great place! Great people! Great service! Will use these guys again and will refer them to others in the future! Thank you!
Picked up load. Broker said parts. It was used engines and transmisions. Leaked up oil. Broker reufused to pay trailer washout.
Are you looking for good parts, good prices, and good customer service?
Give Midway a call and ask for Ed! He has been helping me with all my salvage part needs for the last two years. I know when Ed picks up the phone I will be taken care of. Thank you for all you do! I look forward to continuing to do business with Midway and Ed for years to come!
Jeff was super helpful over the phone getting my part. I had to wait really long when I actually got there. Otherwise ok
This place is fantastic! These guys are there for you and truly care about what’s in your best interests. Couldn’t recommend them enough if you’re in the market for a car.
NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL! I attempted to purchase a trunk lid from them, from out of state, because it was in matching color and was listed as being in "A" condition. I told them from the very beginning that I was interested in it specifically because it was matching color and that I did NOT want to have to repaint it. They told me it was in excellent condition. I then enlisted the help of a friend (who lives about 25 minutes from them) to go there for me, pick it up and bring it to me as she was visiting my state just days later. PERFECT.right? WRONG!
First, they told me they had to email me a "credit card authorization form". I was instructed to fill it out and send it right back. I told them, at that moment, that I didn't want the trunk lid to go anywhere (aka: be sold to anyone else) while they were waiting to receive the completed form from me. A female employee (Jody.spelling?) told me not to worry because she would make sure it was held for me until they received the form.
Fast forward. After waiting TOO LONG to hear that it was removed and ready (wasn't actually ready because they had forgotten to remove the hinges!), they called to to tell me they had actually sold the trunk lid to a local body shop while they were waiting for the credit card authorization form to be returned, by me, to them. They basically told me, too bad so sad.so I asked to speak with a manager.
The manager was good enough to call that body shop and ask if they cared about the color.they didn't. So.the body shop was then sold a red trunk lid and the one I wanted was offered to me again. Yay.progress! Of course, I accepted.and then arranged for my friend to take time out of her busy day to drive there and pick it up. Before she left for Midway Auto Parts, I called one more time to verify that it was in A condition and did NOT require repainting. The employee (Merlin) said he'd walk out and look at it to verify in person, then call me back. 20 minutes later, he called and said it was excellent and did not need repainting. PERFECT.right? WRONG.
An hour later, my friend called to let me know she was there, looking at the trunk lid, and that it was very scratched/gouged. She then sent me pictures and yep, it was BAD.needed to be repainted. A LOT of scratches. YAY.exactly what I did NOT want! Midway then offered me a whopping $70 if I would take it, anyway.even though a quality repaint costs me about $350 and I would have to strip all accessories off of it, then reassemble it after repainting. This was already an $800 trunk lid, mind you, so it was on its way to becoming an $1100 trunk lid (they are $450 through the Honda dealer but on national backorder so overly capitalistic salvage yards are PRICE GOUGING.thanks, Covid, ya' friggin' jerk). Anyway.like any other sane person, I refused to accept $70 off and asked for a refund. I also spoke with the same manager there, to communicate my negative experience, and it was clear he filed it under "D" for "Don't care! ".
I received my refund, fortunately, but will NEVER buy so much as a light bulb from Midway Auto Parts, Kansas City location. They communicate poorly, charge too much (especially when they know a part is in short supply and high demand) and misrepresent their product quality. Bad news all around.unprofessionalism abounds there! BEWARE!
UPDATE: response to Midway's response to my review. What I wrote above is EXACTLY what occurred. It was/is not "my version" vs "the truth". I didn't flavor it. It is was happened.period.
Midway auto parts always comes in clutch when I need parts for my car. Ed is always helpful, timely and easy to work with and talk to. I wouldn’t go anywhere but here.
They didn't even try to listen to me or understand what part iwas looking for. Maybe I don't know how their site operates, but it looked too me that they had several cars that matched the car I was needing a part off of, but the man I spoke with said immediately they didn't have the part, before I was even finished with my sentence.
Hate to say it, but maybe if I was a guy I would have been treated with a little more respect, or perhaps not, who knows.
Very Bad customer service… had me pay for items to pick up the next day and when I came to pick them up, they told me the parts were missing and they did not have them!
Wait times have become absolutely absurd and the team is not helpful. We have waited multiple times for hours above the time they promise. They've lost parts and the experience has gone from what was very positive to now being negative. I will have to start buying parts elsewhere
Called on Friday about a specific battery. Said they had it. Wasnt open Saturday but when went there on Monday, they had zero batteries. Asked about another part & they wanted car dealer price for it.
I was lucky that I got Patrick Rives to help me. Previously there’s been a couple guys at the counter that obviously didn’t care about helping me solve my problem. Patrick took the time, was patient and asked the right questions to help me fix my car. Thank you!
We absolutely love doing business with Midway. Ed is our favorite representative! He is amazing! He Is always quick to responding and getting us taken care of Hassle free! He's been our go to guy for over 5 years!
Excellent service, great and affordable parts. Every time I call, the customer service is spot on, no bad days for these guys hahah I'm jealous! Anyways, you guys are great, keep doing what you're doing, I'll definitely keep y'all logged in for my future needs!
The staff are well informed and polite. They reached out to me to verify certain things, and I really appreciated that. Unfortunately, they gave me the wrong product, which was actually a bit of a big deal because they're quite out of my way to go back to trade it for the correct one, then I had to go back to the tire shop to have the product installed (again). But when I did go back to Midway Auto Parts, they promptly switched out the product without any guff, which I was sincerely grateful for.
Clean waiting room. Merlin was extremely nice and very helpful. Had exactly what we were needing at a fair price. Will definitely recommend them and shop there again if we ever need to.
Found a part that I needed, called to confirm the color of the door gave a manager stock number after 15 minutes on the line she couldn’t tell me the color of the door which was the only thing I needed to confirm she offered me to buy the part ship it to LA and than return it if it doesn’t match….
Perfect customer service
I have gotten 2 reman chevy 3.6 from here. I paid extra for the upgraded engine. First engine made it 35 mile and blew 2 sets of rings. Bow I'm am sitting here on engine #2 with just under 13k and the timing chain is out. I won't even bother with the warranty again because it will still cost me 3 to 4 k to have it replaced.
Thank you to Stewart Taylor and Jeremy Monslow for assisting me get the right starter needed for my Kia Optima. Great costumer service and very friendly. I will keep recommending Midway Auto.
