Mike has been a great friend of mine for over a year, so of course I was going to use him when I needed a mortgage! The whole experience was seamless from beginning to end and his team is terrific. I knew nothing going into the process and our contact, Kristen, was so patient and sweet. We closed on our house yesterday and I know when we are ready to upgrade Mike and his team will be there to make it happen all over again. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

We had high hopes for fairway, as my significant other worked with Mike’s firm before. Unfortunately, things did not go smoothly this time around for us. We were rushed along, and given a ton of tasks (which is to be expected) but it seemed as if things changed every other day.

When it came down to numbers, when things didn’t seem to make sense, we weren’t given a proper explanation, and everything was extremely last minute.

Once moving onto closing, and receiving the final paperwork, nothing was explained to us, and the home lending advisor was unable to be there. When asking the closing company for clarity, we were left with “you need to ask your lending company” which we couldn’t, because she was unavailable. We were told “We need this signed today, otherwise you won’t be able to get the keys”. So, we signed. Looking back, we should have been more diligent and pressed a bit harder on Fairway to give us the explanations we needed.

The advisor also didn’t seem to know much about MHDC (a federal grant program that pays for down payments), and the information we received about that was very skewed. We had no idea if we sold our home in 7 years or less, we would have to repay the down payment. We found this out at closing. Had we known that, we would’ve found a different way to get our funds together.

This was our first home purchase, but will be our last home purchase with Fairway.

Working in sales for 7 years, it has always been advised, if it’s somebody’s first time buying ANYTHING, take the time to explain and be patient. Unfortunately, it seems as if Fairway did not get the memo.

These guys were excellent! Kristin went above and beyond to help us get our house, and they didn’t stop until the closing was signed. Trust these people, they will take care of you and get it done!

Absolutely fabulous experience with this team. Kristen worked extremely hard for us, taking the time to ask questions and is very knowledgeable about the various programs/options that were available to us. This team worked miracles and got us to the finish line! We are so thankful for them.
