Miniature Museum of Greater St. Louis reviews
14Excellent, the ladies who were at the entrance are very friendly and tried to understand us even though we did not speak English fluently. They explained to my child how to see the exhibits in more detail and when buying the souvenirs, they were very patient with us, everything the miniatures are beautiful such a level of detail was impressive
Very lovely Miniature Museum. I enjoy the printed stories that tell the story of the collectors. The stories make the collections personal. We each picked our favorite collection. It was a fun trip!
If you love miniatures, this is the place to visit. An amazing collection of different scales. There are so many models, they even utilize the bathrooms to display them. 2 levels of amazingness.
We tried to come and visit but the staff would not accept our Groupon voucher. Very disappointed. We ended up leaving after trying to work things out with the staff but they were not willing to accept our voucher.
We were so impressed with the variety of the museum's collection. Between the museum and the gift shop, we could have spent all day here!
Kinda like an I Spy book, except in person.
Displays are even in the bathrooms!
Slot of fun.
What a fun local place! We spent about an hour wandering though the museum and marveling at the skill of those who created these tiny masterpieces.
Quick tip: check Groupon for deals.
If you're really into miniatures this place has what you're looking for. It's actually larger than I anticipated. It's two stories with hundreds of miniatures in enclosures. Which makes it a very kid-friendly environment so you don't have to worry about little fingers messing with things. My daughter and I had a blast looking at all the fun things that obviously were a labor of love for many people. Definitely worth checking out with the family.
Incredible collection of miniatures, loved hearing all the stories about the artists and seeing their life's work. Truly a beautiful experience, can't wait to visit again
This museum was outstanding! Soooo much to see! Dollhouses of all types and scales. It kind of boggles the mind, and honestly, there was so much to see that my eyes were legitimately tired when we were done.
There is a small $7/person entry fee. They do have a $1 coupon on their website. We were only able to spend a little over an hour at the location. We could have been there at least 2 hours.
The museum includes a dollhouse store. (No entry fee to shop the store).
The only shortcomings: The museum would be hard for a person with limited mobility to explore. And I’m not sure they’d be able to access the second floor at all. Nearly all of the displays are lighted, but a few lights didn’t work.
I have been coming to this museum, which is located directly adjacent to the historic Bevo Mill, ever since I was a kid. Now I am bringing my own kids here! They were amazed at all of the things to look at and they loved pressing all of the light buttons A hidden gem, for sure! The museum also frequently advertises on Groupon, where you can find discounted rates!
I bought admission from a Groupon ad. I have a small dollhouse and was interested in seeing what this place had to offer. The experience was even better than I had imagined! There was so much to look at & so many interesting displays. I especially enjoyed the miniature of Bevo Mill right across the street! They also have a gift shop where I could buy quality dollhouse items. It’s hard to find decent furniture anywhere. I was so thrilled that I immediately bought a membership!
Who knew… so many styles/ variety
The details are incredible. Pictures don’t do these items justice.
This place has more charm than you can realy described. The real beauty of it is that if you're into miniatures like I am you can take your time and really make a meal out of your visit, but even if you're not specifically into them, it's an interesting, breezy visit full of cool stuff to look at. Will definitely be back any time I'm in St Louis.
