Dr Gamble is probably the best eye doctor I have ever seen. He takes the time to make sure you understand whatever is necessary -yet very efficient. He also- is very approachable yet professional!

They charge for steak, but deliver hamburger. From August to October I went to the Ashland Clinic 7 (yes seven times) trying to get their new progressive lenses to work for me. After being without my new glasses for three weeks, Dr. Boernsketter and company were able to persuade me temporarily that I didn't need to see rectangles accurately. When I pointed out the reading card his assistant put in front of me appeared shorter at the top than the bottom (as does my cell phone, etc.), she said "Oh no, just read the words". I would have paid a lot less for simple reading glasses.

Update: Thanks to Jerry at the Nifong location in Columbia, the third pair of lenses inserted into my new frames has about half the distortion of the previous two attempts. I wouldn't call this truly acceptable, but it is an improvement. Nine (yes 9) trips total to for a new pair of glasses? It shouldn't be this hard! If making progressive lenses is this difficult, patients need to be advised of same beforehand and offered other options.

Dr. Bernskoetter is absolutely the best, and he always answers questions and concerns ina way I can understand. The optician was also extremely good in helping me choose new frames and getting them to fit correctly.

The lady who helps one choose glasses and then fits them is so nice and very helpful. She earned a sticker the day I was there.

The staff was nice. Dr. Gamble was very thorough and explained his findings well. Very pleased with the services I received. Thank you, Dr. Gamble!

Missouri Eye Consultants quickly worked me in when I had a concern and didn’t have an appointment and was a new patient. They provided excellent care and education on how to manage if my condition worsened over the weekend. They made a stressful situation easy to navigate!

Dr. Gamble was on time when he asks how I’m doing it is genuine. When he get down to business he is all business and very thorough. He explains things so the patient can understand. He is 20-20 in my book.
