Missouri Organic Recycling reviews
10Been using this company for almost about 20 years a great family owned company. They're real big about the community around them great place to buy any type of landscape material needs and a good place to go dump brush grass clippings leaves etc they will treat you like you're part of the family
The KCK location is great. The 40 hwy and the Raytown rd. Locations are hit and miss. The employees at these 2 locations do the very minimum. Location hours are not accurate. The Raytown rd location. Won't do pull offs on Saturday. The equipment is there. But they can't be bothered. They will take your money though.
I really enjoy taking my brush and leaves. To be recycled. Putting them into the landfill is just not an option for me, great place.
I just went out to dump my 4 bags of yard waste. I've been there many times in the last few years. It was always $1 per bag unless you went on Saturday, which was free. Much to my surprise, it is now $2 per bag, plus $1.50 fuel surcharge. So my dump fee went from $4 to $9.50! All I had was $4 on me, so I guess I'll do something else with the bags.
I went to dump a load of limbs and lawn debris today on my lunch break. Very busy! The line getting in was fairly short, the guy behind the window and was attentive and helpful, their machines were moving, grinding, dumping, and working constantly.
10/10 would recommend. 3 out of 5 stars. Wouldn't change a thing #HailNimrod
I absolutely love the brush dump. Great place to unload yard waste and pick up some mulch.
I tried to buy 10 bags of cedar mulch. The total was $59 and some change. I handed the attendant $70.00 (one $50 and one $20). The attendant explained they won't accept fifty dollar bills.
1) Purchasing more than $50 of yard supplies is common. Many if not most people will buy 10 bags of mulch, soil or a combination of the products available. Ten bags of mulch or soil doesn't cover much in size of beds in the yard / around the house.
2) The policy of refusing denominations greater than twenty's IS NOT signed anywhere onsite. This policy IS NOT stated on organic recyclings website. It IS NOT noted on the maps information page.
3) There is plenty of technology to verify bills are not counterfeit (pens, scanners and training for water marks / embedded 3D security ribbon / color shifting ink / water marks / security thread / raised printing / micro printing). There is no excuse to refuse cash on the merit it could be counterfeit. If that's the driving concern use the technology and or train your employees and avoid counterfeit bills.
4) Maintaining a cash drawer take a little bit of finesse and most people understand providing change for a large bill on a small purchase is unreasonable. Having a policy reflecting this reality is reasonable but is not in place. Instead an unannounced policy is in place refusing bills greater than twenty.
5) There is ZERO reason Organic Recycling should make attendants onsite explain this policy at the moment of transaction. It should not come as a surprise to the purchaser that there are limits on cash purchases. Also these employees don't make the policy and should not have the responsibility of explaining it last minute to purchasers.
6) A 3% fee is applied to all credit card purchases. This policy is signed onsite. It's reasonable for people to pay cash to avoid additional fees / expense.
I am a customer of Missouri organic for many years everyone is nice. But the new person in window is not nice and is charging more than the other locations
Great place to dump yard waste for recycling into Compost. Also you can buy Compost and mulch here, 2023.
