This place was not helpful for first time homebuyers additional hidden fees upon approval that was not talked about during the process. Did not meet any sales people upon arriving after my approval. The sales team stated the home was going up on price

TERRIBLE experience don’t waste your time with approvals with Monty’s. Taking business elsewhere with my approval!

BEWARE! Worst place to TRY to do business with. Sales people are rude. They do the bait and switch on all of their advertised homes. They put a low price online and when you get there they say they are all sold and the price is different. Don’t let them fool you, they are crooks. They couldn’t even answer simple questions like the cost of the home in full, etc.buyers beware! My wife and I have shopped all over to find our home and we have dealt with some really nice people. Monty’s mobile homes is not one of them. You can tell by the shady office building and everything there that they are not on the up and up. Look at the better business bureau if you don’t believe me on all this.

Had a great experience with Monty's. After touring several homes I found one I loved except for the sliding door. That's what kept me from buying it. But I would recommend them to anyone. They had beautiful homes within our budget. Friendly people giving great service

My experience with montys wasn't bad at all. We bought our home last year when the prices from the factory was a little unstable due to prices of lumber and other things being so expensive. We were lucky to get locked in on a price before the build took place but for 75k I expected more quality of a home than what I've gotten. I am not sure which factories montys deals with except they do have homes from southern energy which is what I bought because it was what I could afford. Now I wished I would have saved a bit more and went with a better built home. But that's not the dealers fault. Gavin was helpful and ordered everything we wanted in the home. I am not sure what all the dealer does when the homes get delivered but I quickly found a few things off from the move that maybe the dealer could be aware of and maybe make sure they inspect a few things like for example one day while doing dishes my faucet completely came apart I thought it had exploded but turned out that it was loose and all my husband had to do was put it back on and tighten it up. We also had a water line under the sink that was loose (probably got lose during transport) and who knows how long it had been leaking before I noticed it one day when I looked under the sink. Several pieces of trim came loose apparently some of it was glued on? I had a Crack in my master bathtub that the dealer had to fix. The front door was so easy to break into that my husband had to fix it right so that it would actually be safe and wouldn't have to worry about someone easily breaking in. There was alot from the factory that I am unhappy with but I don't feel that it is the dealers fault. But I would definitely not recommend southern energy homes at all definitely go with a better brand if you do go through Montys manufactured homes.

Beautiful homes friendly people went to open a house for us and it was almost closing time. I will be back and buy my home from Montys!

This company will not sell you a mobile home if you live in certain areas, for example Jefferson County Missouri mobile home parks, that have more restrictions and rules that they dont want to deal with. They also have more distance restrictions than other mobile home dealers, and the guy I spoke to felt like he was rushing to get me off the phone. All of which is very dissappointing because out of the many ways I'm looking for a home, I was most interested in working with them and willing to drive close to two hours each way to buy a new mobile home from them.

The experience I had here was incredibly awful. The sales guy, steve, assured us it would be an easy process and smooth sailing. We encountered problem after problem. We gave them the money for the mobile home. Used their contractor for the concrete pad, it was done incorrectly. We then had to have a state inspector come check it to okay the mobile home to be moved on it. It took us 3 months to get the unit, after we paid. Then we were being talked to very poorly throughout the entire experience. We bought 4 loads of dirt we didn't need. To compensate for such soft ground, we then had to buy 2 loads of gravel that could have been avoided. Steve talked to my husband and father with respect. Steve talked to me like I was a dog. He was very rude. I'm assuming because I'm a young woman. Once I stopped dealing with Steve and dealt with Gavin directly. It was a slightly better experience. I learned that Steve wasn't forwarding any of the pictures requested to the service department. Here we are, a year later, still waiting to do the walk through to get all the things that were damaged in the move, fixed. I would never recommend buying from this dealership. I eventually had to hire someone to fix the things wrong with the home, as the ice maker to the fridge leaked and mold was forming. I was told I would be reimbursed. It's been a month and I'm STILL waiting for that check. These are a bunch of terrible people, from the sales man to the owner. I'm forced to believe that anything over a 2 star rating for them are just people paid to try and balance out all the bad reviews.
