Zoey was very rude and unprofessional to my sister and I. Do better Zoey. Will be taking business else where

If you want to be treated less than human then this is your place. I took my mom here for an important exam. During the visit we had a technician named Zoey who was extremely rude and unprofessional and very passive aggressive. Never understanding once when my mom explained to her what she could and couldn’t see. My mom is blind and hearing impaired (usher syndrome) when my mom kept explaining how bright it was in the room as it was hurting her eyes, she asked to turn them off for the exam and was basically dismissed about it until I had to turn the light off myself after Zoey walked out of the room with an attitude. During her exam she would rudely tell my mom to do the task and not even help guide her in anyway and used poor manner-ship and kept snapping at her “you really can’t see the lines on the grid” as we previously stated before the exam my mom said she has problems seeing any print on white paper. She would also state “of course it’s going to look blurry but are the lines even straight or curvy. ” How is a disabled person supposed to react to that let alone do the task when they are UNABLE to do it in the first place. As someone who works in the health care industry you would think Zoey knows how to treat visual and hearing impaired patients. Let alone know how to treat the blind while working at a vision business. At the end of the visit our Doctor, Burr was nice and said he would talk to Zoey. This was before I read the notes they left on my moms exam sheet. (notes included with review.) I am extremely upset how they treated my mom.

Dr Murphy and his team are wonderful. I am so very happy with the results of my cataract surgery. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Burr operated on my cataracts and he did a fantastic job! Both eyes see perfectly…I’ve never seen this well since I was a child! I’m so impressed with Dr. Burr and his staff. I would highly recommend this doctor and his staff.

I don't know why the negative reviews. I went to them for the first time and everyone was friendly and I feel they went above and beyond to take care
of me. I had test done that I have never had done before and they found possible problems we have to address.

I must have a field of vision test yearly as I take plaquenil for my autoimmune disorder. I use Murphy Watson and Burr in St. Joseph. But I will NOT ever go back. I ask them every year to send my results to my rheumatologist. Give them his name. They say "sure, no problem. " Then I try and get my refill and guess what? We can't refill your rx because you need to see the eye doctor. I called 4 times after my appt. On the 4th call, I gave them the darn fax number. Still nothing! Beyond frustrating. My time us valuable too. I've been through this for the last 3 years.

Eye surgery is daunting enough, but the lack of information to the patient at this facility is ridiculous. 1. My wife was told her surgery would be on a Friday, about 6 weeks out, then she got a call & without explanation it was moved to a Monday. 2. She was told she wouldn’t be given a time until the Friday before. 3. She was told the surgery would be at 11: 30a, but wasn’t told to be there at any specific time. 4. We arrived at 11: 15 was told to take a seat with no further instructions. Very weird and hardly patient friendly. 5. Finally at 12: 20 she was called in & we had to ask how long the procedure would last. Is it any wonder people do not mind making the short drive to KC? You also have to wonder if these docs have a clue as to how there front office & patient relations are being handled?

This is getting two stars because all of the other people are fantastic. But Dr. Angela Honson is unprofessional and violated my patient rights. According to the FTC Consumer Rights guidelines about contact lenses and glasses, you are supposed to be handed your prescription without being asked so you have a choice of where they are filled. I specifically asked for my contact prescription, and she refused to give it to me citing "I don't know what you need to know. " It's a contact prescription, they're pretty basic, and after 20 some years in practice, I find it hard to believe that she doesn't know what information is needed to be known for a prescription.

Instead, I was given a lecture about costume lenses, a passive aggressive answer to a number that is not remotely needed when ordering contacts, and told that I would be shown what THEY have available for costume lenses (spoiler alert: I wasn't) because she would prefer being able to show people contact safety before prescribing them (I was also not given this option.even though it is against FTC guidelines to make stipulations for a patient to get their prescription record).

I have gone ahead and ordered my contacts through a site who will contact her directly to get my prescription, and I guess we'll see if she continues to deny it. But honestly, after this experience, I will likely not return after I pick up my glasses. The other staff was friendly and helpful, but she wasn't even patient with my child whom I explained on paperwork and everywhere that he was Autistic.

Have an eye injury that constitutes immediate emergency attention according to every WebMD and other credible articles. Short form is had impact to the eye and since then i have a sharp pain, constant watering, and complete foggy vision in my eye. Litterally cannot see anything but fog. Called the emergency number and they decided it needed to be forwarded to the ON CALL dr, dr Watson. After 40 minutes of no response i called back and she was suprised the dr hadn't contacted me. A few minutes later, Watson called with a very poor and condescending attitude saying he's not a miracle worker and cannot fix my eye from home. I told him that i was just concerned about losing my sight and he responded by saying ok bye. I received zero information on what i could do to help my situation short term. Nothing. Sorry you were woke up in the early morning, but you are the ON CALL dr and thats your damn job.

Went in for an eye issue fearing the worse met with Dr Garwood. After examination he prescribed an over the counter medication. It has been about 2 weeks and it has been a night and day difference. I would highly recommend Dr Garwood. Thank you Dr.:)

This rating is for the department that fills prescriptions for glasses. They are beyond rude I would never send anyone to them to get the prescriptions filled but I would recommend the doctors there fabulous.

I was in for a consult and my wait was very brief. Everyone was very pleasant, including the doctor. I was checked over, informed of what was necessary before my surgery, and the appointment made, all in short time. I am now looking forward to the surgery with confidence.

Was told Insurance would not pay.so we paid all out of pocket. We were told the bill was paid IN FULL. One week later we got a bill for 30 dollars more so we paid again out of pocket, Then we get a statement from our insurance co saying they paid. Lesson learned!
