Museum of Transportation - Old Barrett Station Gift Shop reviews
9Cute gift shop! Quite small, but its size is appropriate for the location. Variety of transportation-related products for kids, big kids, and adults. Prices were quite high, but that is usually expected for a gift shop. Recommended that you at least browse before you leave!
I hadn't been here in years and it all came right back. Beautiful display and history of all kinds of transportation. The cars are absolutely beautiful. Interesting history of steam cars I actually had to scratch my head and say, what were they thinking. I loved going inside the trains and standing next to the larger ones really gives you a new respect for them. There was only 1 plane & one boat and I'm hoping they add to that mix. I believe that people have forgot this beauty of our history. It wasn't packed so it was nice to see & know you could visit history safely. Great place to visit for all ages.
Its great place to take your family outside and have a little adventure. All of the staff is so nice and were great to my kids. Its alot of fun not just for the kids but mom and dad as well
This museum is a fantastic family friendly place, especially if you like trains. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, just ask. The indoor 'museum within a museum' is full of unusual vehicles including a separate room for St Louis built cars. You might be surprised at the number of auto manufacturers once located here in town. There is a small gauge train to ride and special events, mostly in the spring summer and fall. Reasonably priced too. Bring the kiddos. Parking is free.
A lot of the souvenirs didn't even have the name.of the place on them. They were just random overpriced train themed stuff. The staff was patient and understanding though. We used a groupn that gave us ten bucks to the gift shop or j wouldn't have gotten anything.
Improvements that were needed greatly enhanced the overall experience for everyone, including the children.
My daughter (almost 2 years old) loved exploring the trains, riding on a train, and playing in the exploration area.
Excellent museum. Especially if you're into trains, and REALLY old cars. Trains are outdoors, so come on a nice day.
Greatest display of vehicles of all kinds in an historic setting. Live UP tracks next to it.
