NAPPS Natural Hair Salon, St. Louis MO

I went into this shop a little over a week ago & I asked for color, retwist, & style. I wanted a platinum blonde. I spoke with the stylist the day before & told her this. I also showed her a picture of the color as well. After she put the hair dye on my hair she told me that I couldn't go platinum or otherwise it would damage my hair so I told her, I would have gotten on retwist & style only. While I'm sitting under the dryer I notice her other clients hair being dyed same color with the remaining hair dye used for my hair. Long story short, my hair is coming out at the roots into my loc. I don't even know where to begin on repairing my locs after starting my loc journey in July. This place is a business that only want people's money and doesn't care about keeping hair healthy. I'm so devastated about my hair because I had never had any damage to my hair. If I could give 0 stars, I definitely would.

I arrived at Napps around 2: 05. I waited about 20 minutes, and then the stylist washed my hair, and gave me a detox which is what she said I needed. I needed a few lock extensions since I had some short areas in the back my hair that I did not like. I am very happy with the end of result!

I needed a cut while my family was on vacation and asked a woman near the hotel where I could go real quick. I was only a block away so I went with my son to see if I could get one. Byrd welcomed me like I was a regular and fit me in without an appointment. Man knows what he’s doing. I didn’t even have to tell him what I wanted and just let him do his work. Really appreciative to this business and wish them the best.

Well after I made an official appointment! Per requirement via thier website! I went there only to sit and be told 3 hours later my service couldn't be fulfilled! Don't suggest going there if you're a business professional who values your time! Apparently they don't!

The stylists were so knowledgeable and the outcome was so worth the price (which was high to begin with $160). There was alot of things the stylists (yes.i said stylists (5 hrs) had to fix because of the last stylist.

But it was more than hair.

They also tended to his confidence and worry and over all self worth about how he looked with the style (middle schooler). I thank them and I am now only going to NAPPS for hair styling.

Let's just say that having an appointment doesn't mean you will get your hair done at the scheduled time. But overall they have good service and their hair products are really good.

Appointment was open on computer but no stylist available. The phone was not answered either. But in the past, they do great with the hair. Very good stylists

Went to this place yesterday only to be turned away because, get this, they don't do braiding! That's right, the first lady asked what I needed, when I first walked in and I told her that I was wanting to get my hair braided and she asked me to show her a picture, which I did of just cornrows with a top bun, then she proceeded again to tell me that they don't do braids! Then another girl walked up and she asked her if they have a braider and she actually said, "I don't know" in a attitude that was like she could care less if I got helped or not. Then the first lady asked when I wanted to get them done and I told her I wanted to make an appointment on either Sunday or Monday like their voice mail says you can do when you call their number. She then denied that their message said that and said they were closed on both of those days. Now I don't know if they just didn't want to do my hair because they thought I was white and just didn't want to bother with me. But to go to a African hair shop that doesn't even do simple braids, to me is strange. I hope they weren't discriminating against me, but it sure felt like it. Just wish I could find someone to braid my hair, but I'm having a hard time. I live in downtown St Louis, but am willing to travel a little bit for a some braids!

I love that they except walk ins. Once there, i was immediately taken to the back to get my hair washed, then taken to the front and got a quick and satisfying re-twist.
