New China reviews
14I love veggie fried rice and every Chinese place makes it different. I loved the fact that they put bean sprouts in their rice. They also have smoothies. I stay 2 seconds away from this place, I'll be back again thanks!
Building is run-down like most, BUT the food was much better than I thought it was be! I got the chicken fried rice, wings, and chicken lo mein. So good!
Thier are 2 categories for food. Flavored and unflavored. This is most definitely of the unflavored category. I mean how tasteless can you make a rice dish. Then got the nerve to be expensive. If you like bland food. This is your place. If you want rice that is flavored go elsewhere. This Chinese food is for people who cannot have ant flavor. It's gross. Don't go here if you like flavor. They have no flavor for you.
South St. Louis' best Chinese Food. It's take out only, which is fine by me. If you ask anyone on the Southside who has the best Chinese, this is the place they'll refer you to. Everything is freshly made. And is so good. Best shrimp fried rice ever!
I walked in and placed an order. My wait was less than 15 minutes. My food came out super fresh. Their shrimp is cleaned and deveined. That’s a plus. They’re strawberry smoothie is delicious. You get a free soda on orders over $25. The lady working the counter was friendly. What more can you ask for.
If it doesn’t feel like you’re life ain’t endanger then the food ain’t good I watch my back every time but the food good that’s why I comeback
Didn't recieve all my ORDER, I guess it's my faught for not checking it was to late, close to closing to go back i guess I didn't need my crab ragoon
I'm addicted. I've been eating here for years whenever I get a way to get there. I've had just about everything rice noodles st. Paul happybox chicken ragoon wonton and the GOOOD fish. I could eat something different everyday but I don't think they delivered
Great food quality. Got the beef lo mein and the beef taste like chunks of steak. Will definitely come back for my lunch break when I’m in the area
Food was pretty good.
Problems i had:
1. Got my order wrong originally. Noticed when I got back to the house.
2. Called the store to ask about it 4 times.no answer.
3. Drive back to the store to inform them of their mess up. No responsibility taken, no apology, and not so much as a fortune cookie to compensate me for the troubles.
4. They overcharged me in taxes. The food sales tax in STL city is about 9.7%. But I somehow paid more than 13% tax on my first and second order of food. They also charged me an extra dollar for a box of plain fried rice. The only way I saw these over charges is because I demanded to see an "itemized receipt", which they won't give you automatically, and most people won't ask for unfortunately. These seem like small things, but I wonder how many customers are being hit with these hidden fees.
5. When I addressed these concerns with the manager, he preceeded to deny and raise his voice. But I did not escalate or snap back.
The people there are a bit crazy. While waiting, the guy had charged someone for the wrong thing, the gentleman was being calm about it, trying to explain the miscommunication, and once the proper understanding was reached of what dude was trying to order, the guy that worked there was trying to argue with him, and told the gentleman ordering, that he, "said it wrong, and it was his fault. " Then, when I went to grab my food when (my number was called), I headed to my vehicle, and was my food to make sure everything was straight. Bout 5 seconds later I hear her come out, yelling (I guess she was looking for me), she just opens my passenger side door and grabs the bag of food out, while yelling, "That not yours! ", then slams it back closed, without any further explanation. Come to find out, she set someone else's food out after she called my number, but she acted like it was my fault. And, didn't apologize or anything. And when she gave me my correct order she threw it at me! You can all guess, after that experience, I'll never go back there again! EVER!
I placed a call-in order but still had to wait for it because they were busy and they were shortstaffed but the food is good
