New Hope Baptist Church reviews
9Great Bible based church! The people are very welcoming, to include the Pastor and his family. They have online live services if you can't make for whatever reason, but I encourage people to go in person. It's even better. They love God's word, HIS work, support missions & missionaries, and have many ministries in place.
Sharing the word and listening to the word is great and I'm really glad that this church doesn't give you a high pressure sales pitch about donations or tithing or offerings, we all understand that the church has material needs lights, water, food, mortgage and for this type of environment I would gladly give.
It would appear that it has a very nice Community Center and a large Gathering haul.
Pastor Tharp preaches good and the congregation is always friendly when we come visit my in-laws. We like where we go to church now but if we were thinking about switching we'd give this place serious thought about attending.
Love going to church here every Sunday. Pastor Tharp is awesome! Love Pastor Ryan, tim, Tim, Andrew! If your looking for a great Bible preaching church look no further than new hope Baptist church in independence! Best church I've been to in my whole life and won't trade it for any other church in the world!
Likes to leave pamphlets in credit card slots at gas stations during a pandemic. Seen a few blowing around so they spread covid at gas stations and litter, yeah seems like a place full of sound logic.
Pastor Tharp is a wonderful man! I had the privilege of getting to know him before he went to New Hope. He is a wonderful servant, a great preacher, and also a tremendous cook! He has fed me both spiritually and physically!
I've been to a lot of churches I don't believe you will find better or friendlier people anywhere if you are looking for a loving church I recommend this one
I spent 13 years heavily involved at New Hope Baptist Church. Although they may seem kind and loving at first, and there are certainly some good people there, the leadership and most of the rest of the church is unfortunately very toxic, aggressive, and the opposite of a wholesome/Christian environment. I only say this in hopes that others won’t go through what my family and several others went through. Thankfully, there are many other great churches available in the area, so you would be much better off attending most of those.
