New Longview Apartments, Lee's Summit MO

Love this place after moving from to Tennessee to Missouri. Friendly office staff and neighbors couldn’t ask for a better living place!

The staff is so friendly and helpful, they made sure our move-in was as quick and easy as possible! It’s located in a great area, too.

Friendly community! They have resident events once a month and that's a major WIN for me:)!

Initially moved in thinking this would be
a nice community, however not worth the price or hassle. I dealt with so many maintenance issues that never really got fixed. This was 12 months from hell. Plumbing issues, flooding, pipes constantly freezing. Electrical issues, outlets not working and them refusing to fix them, HVAC constantly going out on the hottest days of summer because they refused to replace it and tried to remodel the issue but providing a huge window unit air conditioner. Community property is worn down and outdated, half the equipment at the gym doesn’t actually work, they replaced the windows around the property and never replaced the huge window you see boarded up in the photo. It was quite embarrassing to invite guest over when the properly looked so run down and was always dirty and filled with litter. Building stairs never cleaned, they were covered in trash splatters and filth. It would normally be tons of flies from the trash compactor never working and that area always being surrounded but trash. I’m a 12 month span we had to put in nearly 30 maintenance request for so many issues. Maintenance would enter apartment with no warning at all and not leave a note stating they were there, the only way to tell was because they would leave a mess in the area they were in. I constantly had to call them and tell them to notify me prior to entering my home. JVM as a whole is fine, but I would not recommend new Longview to anyone.

Side note: because of the terrible quality of windows your electric bill will be through the roof. The low quality windows and doors have terrible seals, requiring much more to cool or heat the apartment.

(Another Update) : We have been living here for 5 years now and have continued to be impressed by the leasing office and maintenance team. Maddie and Matt go above and beyond in the leasing office, they have truly turned around the vibe and the residents that have been here for a while can truly see the difference. Something as big as hosting events, to organizing the Luxor packages, to handing out popsicles at the pool. Their care and energy doesn’t go unnoticed! ̈

Update: I wrote that review 2 years ago and we still live here and love it! The maintenance team is amazing and have been quick to fix issues big and small. We love living here!

My boyfriend and I have lived here for almost 2 years and absolutely love it! The neighborhood is great and it’s only 10 minutes from downtown lee’s summit! The pool and other amenities are always well kept and the office staff is always friendly. Definitely recommend!

If you want to live in one of the most creative and energetic environments, come here! Matt is an artistic coffee god. Just made me the best iced coffee ever like seriously. Maddie is so sweet with a warming personality, anytime I come in here I’m blessed with vibes of love and happiness. So grateful I live here

I absolutely love living here! The management is great and always so helpful and the property is beautiful as well. We're very close to great shopping coffee shop, a movie theater, and restaurants. Highly recommend this complex!

It’s a great area to live in and if you travel often it’s super close to the highway. The amenities are great and very pet friendly. The apartments are nice and if any issues arise the team (Matt, Maddie, Qiana) are super friendly and helpful.

Seems like an awesome community, we had an excellent experience with Matthew the leasing agent. He was a wonderful source of information about the local schools, community amenities, and the local area. He really made my family and I feel welcome. We ultimately chose a place that was a bit closer to our in town family, however the New Longview was really impressive and it seems like it's well managed; a great place to call home.

I honestly love living here. It’s a beautiful community the views are amazing and I love the nature and wildlife around the area. I’ve seen so much deer just wander around. The pool is beautiful and the amenities are worth it. I had a very amazing conversation with Maddie and Matt from the office. They are super kind and very welcoming, I encouraged my friends to come live here and they did. I would recommend anyone these apartments

Lived here for 2yrs, great and responsive maintenance and leasing office. Only moved out last yr for a condo. Just interacted with leasing office due to miss shipped package and had quick calls and coordination to recieve my package.

Friendly staff, quick to take care of any problems you may have. Maintenance is quick to fix any issues you may have. Area is good for walking and there's a community center nearby, and of course it is close to the lake. It's a spectacular place for watching the fireworks on the fourth of July and new years eve too.
