Northland Animal Hospital, Kansas City MO

A few weeks ago I took my very nervous rescue pup in for a visit. When I got him home I noticed not everything had been recorded on the invoice. When I called back, I was told (by someone new) that it must not have been done if it wasn’t on there.
I was ticked and sent an angry email. I immediately got a response from the vet who had already left for the day that everything had in fact been done and it just hadn’t been recorded yet-she then had the tech who cared for my dog call me and explain further what all had been done and apologize for the miscommunication.
It’s easy to give 5 stars for perfect experiences- what impressed me most was how promptly, kindly and professionally my imperfect situation was handled. Thanks for the great care and for responding kindly to my “less than kind” concerns. I know dealing with nervous pet parents is usually way harder than dealing with their pets-you guys handled me with grace and I truly appreciate it as well as the great care you gave my boy!

After our veterinarian retired we needed to find another practice we trusted to take care of our much loved Lhasa Apso. We decided on Northland Animal Hospital after two neighbors on separate occasions had given their highest recommendations and at our first visit we understood their love for Dr. Amy Roberts and everyone else at Northland Animal Hospital. The reception was friendly and efficient so that I was immediately at ease which of course meant that our little guy was more relaxed about being in a new environment. His initial exam with Dr. Roberts made me confident enough to schedule a needed surgery on his foot, something I could only do if I believed he would be in capable hands and I was not wrong. Our 10-year old dog flew through the surgery and has received fabulous aftercare; I was given a detailed report along with instructions. After my husband took him for his first bandage change and spoke to the doctor, we’re both now counted among the ardent members of the Dr. Roberts fan-club in our unreservedly pet-enthusiastic neighborhood.

They were very good. I thought my cat had to do surgery and dental cleaning due to intense bad breath but the vet actually said to only do some antibiotics and cleaning can be done Manually at home.

They did not try to rip off money (like others do) and the vet was awesome and so sweet.

I would not go anywhere else. Very knowledgeable, professional, friendly and helpful. From the time you and pet walk in your greeted with a smile and they get you to a room very quickly. I've never waited more than 5-10 minutes. They have an amazing vet, along with the techs. And staff. It IS the best place to take your animals.

Dr. Roberts and her staff are wonderful. They made sure Dino, our cat, was comfortable and well cared for while he was there. They explained everything to us and made sure we understood everything we needed to know.

Everyone at this place is kind and caring. They spend whatever time you & your pet need. I’m glad I found them!

Great experience! Dr. Amy and staff were exceptional handling my Jack Russell - Beagle mix, Ollie Kash.

Very reasonable on their prices which was a fresh breath of air after being at other vets. Had my dog spayed and had no follow up issues. Stitches were clean and didn’t have much redness. Very pleased.

The best group! They always have time for my 2 pups. I also take my dachshunds for chiropractor visits!

I've found Northland in my veterinary search for titters testing and holistic medicine. They are fairly hard to beat across the board in my experience of several vets in the northland. I believe my previous vet might be cheaper but they don't offer all the services and honestly I didn't trust the knowledge base like I do with Dr Roberts. That being said, price is still very good comparatively speaking to vets in the area. I have an allergy specialist that has completely disagreed with my previous vet and totally approved of the medication this vet has given my allergy boy. The bedside manors are solid. Over all, I think you would be hard pressed to find a better vet in the area.

I love Northland Animal Hospital! Dr Amy Roberts is the BEST.she is a very attentive listener and thoroughly checks out my pups whenever I have concerns about their health. I have been a client since adopting my 2 dogs over 6 years ago and am very happy with the care my dogs receive. I also absolutely must mention the staff and Bailey the groomer! They are SO nice and really go the extra mile to be sure we have the best experience possible, the clinic is so fortunate to have these wonderful employees! ️

Always very caring with our 3 cats. We have 1 that is very aggressive and they handle him very well. Love the vets.

I went to visit Dr. Winter the chiropractor. I have a senor dog who was need of a major adjustment. By the time we left she was walking better.

NAH was so kind to work my sweet cat as a new patient into a busy Friday and treat him with such care. Dr. Roberts, Jaime, and the rest of the staff handled his operation expertly, gave us good advice, and patiently answered all of my questions. They even called the next day to check up on him? I feel relieved for my only pet to have a place that we can trust to care for him like they do.

Absolutely the best vet in the Northland. I have seen several vets at this location and really enjoyed all of them. Jamie is so fantastic and helpful, but all the staff is helpful and kind.

Northland Animal Hospital is the best place to take your fur babies! They are very friendly, professional, and always willing to work with you on scheduling. We ended up going here for an emergency situation when every place around the area turned us away. After that, we happily switched to Northland Animal Hospital as our primary vet where our animals always feel loved and genuinely care for by the most knowledgeable veterinarians and their team!
