Northside Dental Clinic, Springfield MO

Updating this now. 6 years after the first review.
I have been going to Northside for around 8-10 years, with Dr. Kaelin for most of that. He is kind and keeps the mood light (which is nice since being at a dentist can be scary for some people). He has always provided quality dental care at an affordable price. His office bills insurance and gets quotes prior to providing care so you know how much fillings/etc will cost up front. The dental hygienists have all been very kind to me and I always feel better after a fresh cleaning!
I highly recommend his office for anyone looking for dental care!

I have always had a difficult time being consistent with my dental cleanings and checkups, until about two years ago when I made a same day appointment with Dr. Kaelin. He took care of an emergency situation quickly and gently while also being extremely kind and professional.
Since then I have been seeing Dr. Alvarez and Tessa for my regular checkups and cleanings. Tessa has a quite, calm, and positive demeanor. She is non-judgemental and willing to help you find and encorporate the best daily dental practices for you. Dr. Alvarez is also incredibly kind. He seems conservative with his practices (he 'watches' potential problem areas before they become cavities, but doesn't push getting anything done until it absolutely needs it), which I genuinely appreciate. He is always willing to give me information and tips to keep my oral care top notch.
Since starting my care here my oral health has improved considerably. I've finally found a dentist office that cares. They care not only about how my teeth/mouth is doing, they care about me as a person.
So, in my humble opinion, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didn't give their office a try.

I absolutely love north side dental, I have been using them for about 5 years and will absolutely not change! I love Pagie she’s so amazing and treats me so well! I walk in and it feels like home everyone knows me and treats me so good. I always come out with a great laugh and a beautiful smile! Definitely will recommend them! Not just for a drawing LOL but because I have meant to put a review on for a while! There great, switch today and get set up with the best dental place in town!:)

Very professional and got me in within a hour after a phone call and accesd my situation next visit fixed my mistakes I'm definitely going back and no insurance and they let me know that highest price if everything went wrong it didn't so I was happy

Be ware of this company. I don’t like that they charged me for a service they did on my daughter that we never asked for just because the put it in the consent to treat papers that she signed. You cannot charge people for something they do not want. What a way to rip people off.

Using this office has been one bad experience after another. One group will schedule me, then say they cant do anything because I need to see my dentist. Of course they schedule me when he isn't there. Now they scheduled me almost a month away. If I could leave 0 stars I would. I would rather pay to have someone else fix the work than keep giving them chances to do it right.

I hate going to the dentist, but everyone at Northside Dental is super friendly that they make it an enjoyable experience! Shana knew I was super nervous about getting fillings today, but she did an amazing job at making me feel comfortable and relaxed!

Waited over 90 days for an Appointment for a Covid canceled mid March visit. Went I arrived the sign on door said "Mask Required, if you have appointment please call and wait in car for notice to come in. Waiting area is more than large enough to accommodate Social Distancing. If Masks work Social Distancing is not required, If Social Distancing works Masks are not required. Northside Dental has bought into the Scare tactics to make us all Sheeple. They have lost a Patient.

They made my first visit quick and comfortable. Really great staff, and doctor. I would definitely recommend them. I have found a long term care provider.

From the minute I walked in it was a great experience, Shana, Johnene & Dr. Kaelin were awesome.

The Good - After being with the Dental Clinic I must say they are super friendly and the Dental techs and awesome. The bad – They always want to do or fix something that might be bad or might help them with your visits. The price you are quoted that insurance will cover is not always correct, make sure you get that on paper before you leave. I don’t like paying for things that are not broke or having to pay more after I was told a price.

My experience with Northside Dental has been wonderful. Everyone is so awesome. I am impressed with their being upfront and honest about cost and not doing unnecessary procedures just to make money.

Awesome relaxed environment. My kids are always a little jittery when going to the dentist but those nerves dissipate quickly at Northside dental. We have been going there for about 10 years and have no interest in going elsewhere.

Dr. Smith is just a wonderful dentist, she is very understanding to my anxiety, she is very gentle, kind and gracious at explaining to me my treatment and let's me decide what I would be comfortable pursuing around my financial situation.
Her assistant Tamera is also very kind and gracious and is wonderful in explaining my treatment and listening to me as we decide the dates for my next treatment date.
Also the ladies at the front desk are very welcoming and make the visit less stressful for me.
Very clean and organized atmosphere.

I found Chatel to be exceptional in the process of cleaning of my teeth. She got me in at the appointed time, with no waiting. Was very professional during all the procedures, and explained to me exactly what she was doing, also offered me a blanket, and sunglasses, which I found quite comforting. Chatel is simply the best hygienist I have ever known.

My first time going to Northside dental clinic and had a wonderful and helpful experience granted by Dr. Hayter and his nurse Kelly. Thank you!

The staff was great, friendly and kind. Definitely plan on sticking with them. I have a permanent retainer for my bottom teeth that hygienist never floss when I have gotten my teeth cleaned at other dental offices. My hygienist flossed all my teeth. I am truly happy with Northside Dental Clinic in Springfield, Mo.

The ladies at Northside dental exhibit great service and exceptional work. Sam, Danielle, and Maggie give you a warm welcome. Jamie and Dr. Smith take great care of you! I would recommend them to anybody.

Dr. Smith is amazing! My husband came to him after a previous dentist didn't shape the fillings correctly and had a lot of nerve pain. They saw him within a week and fixed the shape of the filling and my husbands nerve pain is gone. They are very knowledgeable and patient with any questions we have! This is the best place to get work done on your teeth!
