NourishKC Food Distribution Center - Kansas City Community Kitchen reviews
10The food has been terrible as of late. Nobody wants spicy food everyday, they force pork onto people that don't eat it and there's never a substitute. The new cook is rude about having to do a job she's been hired to do. And some people have been outside all night, nobody should have to stand and wait when there's a dining room. Whoever is over the community kitchen needs to really interview better. Nobody wants burnt food everyday
Was loving this place but now the staff are starting too get real lazy and is severing the same meal than they act like they don't want too let you get any pantry food to take home
Haven't been in for years. It has changed. No food choices and when I came in they served under cooked chicken. Not safe to eat. Doesn't seem like it is as popular as before. Before the community kitchen was a place that served wonderful food.
I would rather go without food than to take my chances of eating something poorly cooked.
I have eaten at a lot of different homeless shelters in my life but this one is the best they bring you your food after you sit down and it is really fresh and nourishing
It is not vegan entirely. Mixed company potentially due to it as ever. As for all that alkaline you will notice despite it? Just ask! They have vegan options & security staff & all.
Received more respect than when I was able to go out to eat at a fancy restaurant in the past. Down home hospitality and cooking.
Always great food and as long as you have respect for the staff they will treat you the same. I go all the time and usually bring my dog, tied up outside of course, when I go there. They even on occasion will slide a lil extra something for my dog. God bless all they do here. Definitely come in and say hi!
Honestly some great volunteers, and really really surprisingly great food! I think it's a awesome thing they do for our community.
Gave someone a ride here and thought it was pretty cool that they gave out food to hungry people but it's kind of in a werid spot and some people that are homeless I don't know how they are to get there.
