Lots of dogs, bigger breeds. Lots of sweet babies. Not as many cats right now, but some real snuggly ones.

Lovely staff, they do well in taking care of their animals. They count on donations and need much more help for all they do

I have volunteered here a few times and the people there are so nice and would politely point you in the direction you need. The animals are well cared for and the kennels and cages are cleaned plenty. The animals seem happy and the cats love to play!

We adopted Cookie Monster now Jazz a beautiful Komondor pup in September 2022. Soon after my 12 1/2 yr old Lab crossed the rainbow bridge and Jazz has brought so much love with him. He is being trained as a service dog for my husband. Here is a photo of the two of them

This place is amazing and I got all of my dogs from here but some of the staff or volunteers were rude. However, the manager is excellent and such a great person. They do great work and provide the dogs to good homes. The most recent dog I got from here is a Husky and his name is Turbo. He is doing really good.

I would like to send my sincere appreciation for what you all do. I brought in a friend last week to find a dog and he did and will pick up his dog this weekend. Everyone was pleasant and professional.

These dogs and cats are so cute? They all need a family or someone to love them, my 11 year old and I walked almost all of them and they were all very friendly and great with children, and they aren’t very expensive to adopt.

My daughter got the rescue dogs she adopted shots from the vet there. The vet, Dr. Bloom took time to offer my daughter additional suggestions to help her care for her dogs and address her concerns. She also commented on all the things that my daughter was doing correctly. She was very friendly and her fees were very reasonable. My daughter definitely wants to keep her as her animal's doctor. She can tell that the vet loves animals and people at the shelter do too. They encourage positive animals welfare programs and resources. They know what they are doing and help animals find loving homes.

This shelter has given me the life time of an experience. The staff is beyond friendly and so much more, the story of me and the dog I adopted (Goose) is beyond unique now. He has filled the hole where I thought nothing could, I made multiple visits while waiting to adopt him hoping and praying he would be mine. The staff stayed in contact with me all throughout this process and made it thee most member experience I will ever have. Huge shoutout to them and I will always go to them if I ever need anything and will send my friends and family their way to adopt their forever fur babies. Thank you so much for being apart of mine and Gooses adventure.

I am soooo thankful for this place. Lost my 16 year old dauchaund today. Of all times for me to have a. Nap. Woke up to realize he didn't come back. Finally found him a fireman and his family of warrensburg took care of him until they took h to the shelter. Not being from the area I was concerned. Within hours heather at the shelter messaged me And met me after hours on a holiday weekend to give my berry () back. Thank you again

I picked up Evie Galore, agent 009 from the Old Drum Animal shelter almost a month ago. First, I travelled some distance to meet Evie specifically and the staff (Molly in particular) helped keep me posted on Evie’s availability so I could ideally meet Evie. Now you can’t put a hold on a pet which makes sense because what happens then if a forever home is turned away and then you get there and realize it’s not the match you had hoped for…it’s not fair to the animal. I CANNOT say enough good things about my experience, all of which I attribute to the staff and their dedication to the animals. Evie is a bobtail Manx which was a quality I was super interested in, however it’s her personality and playfulness that melts my heart everyday and I am a first time Cat parent. I’ve had dogs up to this point in my life. Please consider adopting from this shelter. All shelters across the US are filling up with pandemic pets. Pets being abandoned now that humans go back to their busy lives. Evie gives the most awesome head butts and welcomes me when I come back to the apartment. She has to be in the same room I am ALL THE TIME. Our match is a perfect one and the staff at Old Drum certainly made that easy. Thanks to the staff for a match that could NOT have been any less ideal.

Thank God that there are caring people in this world of madness. These people deserve the utmost respect, for their hearts are truly in the right place. They help the helpless and I admire them all for their tireless journey to find homes for all Gods creatures. Thank you and God Bless you all!

Brought a stray kitten in this afternoon that i found and the staff was so rude. They were very unwelcoming and seemed like they hate their job.

We adopted a kitten here. The process was very easy, and we love our new pet! The people here truly care about the animals in their care.

The ladies at the shelter were friendly and knowledgeable. They seemed to really care about the animals and who they were given too. The adoption fees were great for spaying, microchipping, and all shots.

Volunteered with my kiddo this morning and am amazed at the level of care for these many animals. As I watched the other volunteers, I realized how many hands this organization takes to run. I highly recommend volunteering a few hours a week. If you love dogs like me, walking them was fun and fulfilling.
