Osage Campground Retreat, Jefferson City MO

Polite and helpful, nice surroundings and adjacent to a small lake. Convenient when visiting friends in Jefferson City, MO.

We booked online to stay overnight, and when we had a problem pulling in late the owner still answered the phone to help us. The park was clean and easy to get into. Looks like it would be a real fun spot in the summer. If we're in the area we will stay here again. 10/10

Not recommended for families with children or multiple families with campers all staying at the campground together. We had 3 sites for 4 nights to go on the river fishing and had problems on Friday and Saturday nights with curfew hours. The residents who lived there come out, inform all these families at 8pm that curfew hours must be abided by avoiding the 10pm curfew hours. They violate posted rules and regulations posted by this campground. If you are in your 30s-40s with children then this camp ground is not for you! If you’re retired and have a dog, this campground may be for you!

The campground is nice. The bath house is wonderful. The issue we had was that we had 3 families there, paid for reservations in advance, and the sites were not next to one another. We opted to all stay around the central camper because we all have children. Curfew from the website is 10pm. We got a call from the owner saying there was a complaint that we were being loud and disruptive. In fact, all of our children were asleep with us on our laps. Why would we wake up the kids after falling asleep at 9pm anyways? The following evening, one of the full time campers was asked by the owner to come over at 7: 45pm (kids were still awake and playing at this time) to inform us that we needed to start "settling down" because the owner got a call from the camper next to our main site that we were too loud and disruptive. The gentleman that come over this time was very polite and stated that he felt we were not being loud or disruptive, simply letting the kids enjoy the outdoors with our families. Please keep in mind that we had a total of 6 children, ranging in age from 20 months to 8 years old, and 8 adults. Needless to say, we will not be going back. If you want your campground to be quiet and void of the laughter of children, the crackle of a campfire, or music maybe include that in your descriptions and policy. PS: We paid almost $200 per camper for 5 days. The single overnighter's were charged $30/night, by far less, based on what an overnight camper told us when we asked. You can do that math.

Wow. Awesome campground for both tents and RVs. CLEAN, well maintained by a super friendly staff; the bathrooms are nicer than most motels! STRONG recommendation if you're looking for an inexpensive getaway!

Our stay was so easy to book. The Highwall Pop-up was very cool, andstocked with everything we needed. Great people, great place! We'll be back!

The best camping and floating experience I have had! So accommodating. The camper was amazing!

Nice campground and just steps away from the Osage River. Updated and clean bath house and laundry area.

Great place to stay. However, we did not get to meet the owners everything was done online, I did get to talked to her a couple of times. Thanks for the enjoyable stay. We will be back!

Great little RV campground! Owners are nice and the bathhouse and clubhouse are newer. We enjoyed our stay!

We were very happy with the reservation process over the phone (lady was pleasant and helpful) and the accommodation for a late check-out after our two night stay was very helpful to our schedule.
The major inconvenience for us and our Furr baby was that the grass and weeds were terribly high at our camping spot. Seriously the weeds all over our lot were higher than our 8lb.pooch is tall.
*All the lots around the perimeter of the campground were nicely mowed and well kept. Only the center pull-through lots were obviously not mowed.
We would be happy to stay again as everything was very nice except the inconvenience of the above the ankle high weeds!
