Palermo Pizza & Subs

Don't let the first impression of their building discourage you from trying this place. What they lack in atmosphere is made up in quality of food, and that's what really matters anyway. We had pizza. Good, fresh ingredients and good crust. The cheese and sauce were great. I believe the man that took our order was the owner and his daughter was helping also. They were very friendly, helpful, and seemed to appreciate our business. Definitely give them a try the next time you're in Hannibal.

Palermo Pizza & Subs is a small locally-owned business operating in downtown Hannibal specializing in providing both Italian and Indian cuisine.

My first impression upon walking in was how clean and spacious it was. It was at that point that I decided to go ahead and dine in with my family.

We decided to order the deep dish pizza with some bread sticks. After a brief period of waiting, the nice lady brought out the bread sticks. It was straight out of the oven, and piping hot. Prying the bread apart being held by the garlic cheese was a welcomed problem. The flavor was fantastic.

Next comes the deep dish pizza. Who I suspect may have been the owner brought the pizza out to us. Upon opening the box was an amazing aroma. The grease was pooling near the center of the pizza on top of that hot cheese. Cutting into it was a challenge, but it was a good challenge. The reward was one of the best slices of deep dish I had ever had. It was flavorful and filling.

If you find yourself in the area of downtown Hannibal, finding yourself famished - I would highly recommend you stop by this establishment. The atmosphere is clean, the people are friendly, the food is delicious, and the price is right.

Palermos is a diamond in the rough. They are always very pleasant, the food is exceptional and very affordable.

There was a variety of food choices to please the most picky of kids. The bread for the steak and cheese sandwich, and the pizza dough was amazing!

Only had the pizza, not the best, the other food there is probably better, nice people, nice restaurant

Palermo has an exceptional selection of sandwiches and other items. Great quality, proportions and great pricing. The dinning area isn't special, yes and it has clean and abundant dinning spaces.

I treasure Palermo Pizza & Subs as a marvel of small-town individuality. It's owned and staffed by a dear Indian couple who prove they understand the pizza-and-subs niche of Italian-American food. I've only had hot subs and antipasto (= salad) so far, but they are consistently excellent, built with homemade bread, swimming in flavorful sauce and lots of melted cheese. The old storefront facilities are unassuming but very clean. I look forward to trying the two Indian curry offerings some winter evenings to come.

Great pizza and even better Stromboli! This place is a hidden gem and prices are very fair!

We dined in. The place is not fancy but very clean. We ordered a hot Italian sub and a regular Stromboli. They were both the best ever. We want to go back again tomorrow for the same! There are only a few tables for dining in and there is nothing fancy to the restaurant’s decor. But both the food and prices are worth the wait. You won’t be dissatisfied if delicious, affordable food is what you’re after.

Very clean and simple place to dine at. The owners are very polite, The menu is simple but yet a lot of different things to choose from.my husband had the lasagna and I had the manicotti. We definitely had a good time and will be returning.

I loved the pizza.just thought there would have been a place to eat.and have a beer. I was surprised to walk in and see just tables.that's it.

Very good, very yummy! Nice surprise to find Indian food on the menu, it was definitely unexpected from Hannibal to find such quality. Good prices as well. Would highly recommend!

We looked for a place to stop on our road trip and we're very excited once we saw the menus, the owners are very friendly, quick and good service, did not disappoint! We got the chicken curry with naan and it was very authentic and flavorful, and the pizza was great as well. It was a very good price and affordable for our large family, we got drinks a pizza and some Indian dishes for under $30 and everyone got more than enough food. Would recommend!

Nothing worse then eating with Flys. Not to mention no air conditioning so trying to eat on a hot day don't work. The bread brought out with spaghetti was a hamburger bun. Couldn't tell if it was hard from being old or what. Overall a 0 out of 10

30% price increases, skimping on cheese, and eliminating salads from entrees disappoint me. They used to be so reasonable. Only pizza and curry are really worth getting. Everything else is ok or not very good.

I’ve seen the 1-3 star reviews talking about the cleanliness, I’ve worked in the food industry for over 7 years, and they had an extremely clean kitchen and restroom so I don’t know what you guys are talking about, me and my girlfriend ordered the chicken curry and a pepperoni pizza, the curry was to die for and the pizza is top 5 for me all time, was amazing and the people were so kind.

Crust homemade, sauce homemade and the pizza is delishes! Very polite, quick to get food. Will be back
